Great place for events

I have been to many music festivals here, and always find myself impressed by the view and the river. Lots of great site options for whatever your preference is! It's also a convenient walking or driving distance from the rest of town.

Peaceful

Great campsites available at a very reasonable price. Beautiful views at the upper campground. Full hookup only on upper campground. Lower campground only has water and sewage. The stink bugs were terrible in the season we went. 5 months later and we are still finding stink bugs in our 5th wheel camper. There is a bathhouse on upper campground. Picnic tables at most sites on upper campground. Stayed for a month. Close to Lexington. Would stay again!

Good for One Night Stay

Heading back home to north Florida from two months in New England and needed a site for the night. Temps were in the 90’s (missing Vermont already) and we wanted at least a 30 amp hookup to run A/C. Electric posts support four different sites, so needed to drag out the extension cord. But, power was good and the evening/night was peaceful. Good Verizon signal to stream as well.

Wonderful

There are many activities such asuch as a bluegrass festival, fiddle festival, and jazz festival. This year they built large models of the twin towers and had a program about them on September 11th. The pool is very large, very clean,And has a diving board. And there's a wonderful swimming hole if you can find it.

Not private camping

The spots are very close to each other, there is a bath house available, camp sits on water front. There is a pavilion with tables. There is a playground that is very nice! They offer entertainment on weekends and some other times of the year. There is electric on some sites
