Excellent place

Camped here on 6/30/23 great people that own this place , beautiful farm and very helpful, sites are to themselves ans absolutely breathtaking scenery, highly recommend if you are in or near New Castle Va

Little piece of heaven

Just got back from a 4 day trip, we picked “the tiny house” spot as it was all the way in the back and had a huge field in front of it for our pups to play, I’ll add some pictures. (All pics added are directly from our spot, the view was AMAZING) All of the spots are next to a beautiful creek, there are also a couple waterfalls that come down off the cliff across the water. This place is one of a kind, this isn’t resort style camping with a book of rules and nosey neighbors, this is boondocking, and it is the perfect place for those that are self contained. The property is absolutely beautiful and there is no bad choice when it comes to picking a site. There is a good size country grocery store about 10 mins away, family dollar, and the gopher mart for anything you forgot or might need, Walmart is 45 mins out so plan accordingly. Property owner also sells wood if needed, 7.50 bring cash! I saw another review and just wanted to touch on it, it RAINED while we were there, for 24hrs straight and not once was the owner ever ugly about us coming/going, he even said we could drive through the field if we wanted to stay out of the mud.

Dean (owner) & Roscoe (his copilot) sure do make you feel welcome, I’ve never had hospitality like they provide at any other place we’ve stayed. They showed us to our site then gave us some information he has put together so you can easily find things to do nearby. He comes once a day to check on everyone and see if you need anything, he even brought his granddaughter to play with my kids for a bit.There’s tons of trails & forest roads, Potts mountain jeep trail (not for stock vehicles) is about 10-15 mins. Can’t say enough great things about this place and we will definitely be returning!
