I really like this place

This is our second visit to this park. We really like it here. The park is clean with partial hookups with electricity and water (no sewer or cable.) most spots along the Spanish Fork River (really a small creek in August) are shaded in the afternoon. But this is Utah in the heat... Bring your own air conditioning.

We are here mid-week. It is very quiet and peaceful except for the occasional train. If you like that sort of thing you will like it here.

It is very close (10 minutes) to shopping including Costco and Walmart, good food like In-n-Out, Five Guys, and Longhorn Steak House.

It really is a perfect place to resupply and still feel like you haven't left nature.

Nice place to camp but…

Ok, so we specifically camped up in the “P” section so my review is for that.

While hauling everything out there was not fun on a hot day, it was so nice to camp away from the RV’s. It was just families and their tents which made for such a fun atmosphere.

The trains are definitely loud and it’s a nice long walk to the bathroom (which was always clean and air conditioned), but we would stay here again.

Good enough

Made a reservation for our RV. Nice, wide spots, all on grass. A firepit and a grill. Clean spots.

Very very crowded with a large group of campers, using the carpark and picknickarea the whole day and night. Too noisy. We didn't use the toilets because of the group of people next to it. The road is near, quity noisy also at night. And a train is passing every few hours, using its horn before the bend, 24/7....

Very nice host, who dropped by to check whether we were ok after arrival.

River is brownish, not meant to swim in.

Overall: good enough for one night while travelling from A to B. I guess the weekdays ( non-holiday) might be better.

Great for a quick night stop

We were traveling between SLC and Moab and just needed a comfortable spot to crash. This was perfect. Hosts are so nice, literally cleanest bathrooms ever (no showers but flushing toilets and running water sinks) tons of grass and spots are nicely spread apart. We got a nice sunset. Yes trains do come by but we only heard two while we slept. Definitely would come here again for a comfortable night sleep.

Quick Getaway

If you're looking for a place close to home for a group of people to stay in trailers then this might be for you. It's not high enough to have a significant temperature drop during the day. So not a good place during the middle of summer.

Some of the spots are close to the river which can be a nice thing. When I was there the river was fast moving which makes it hard to fish and wade in.

There are two sides of the campground which have restrooms, playgrounds and dirt volleyball courts. Call ahead for reservations. Especially for large groups.

Loud trains all night

This is a terrible campground unless you like subpar amenities, noisy trains, and nearly nothing to do. Not my idea of a good camping experience.
