We rolled in late at night, exhausted from a day on the road. We had a pull thru site. The gravel pads had potholes and our slide was so close to touching our neighbors slide. Pool is closed. Wouldn’t stay here for more than 1 night.
A beautiful KoA, very well taken care of grounds, friendly staff and many different sites to choose from. We reserved a back in super site and had plenty of room between our neighbors. There was a nature trail behind us that we could easily get to from our campsite. My kids loved the playground and basketball court. The pool was clean. We also took advantage of Scoops ice cream in the evenings. Would 100% stay here again.
The views were nice and our site had good shade. The pool was also nice, we visited in early June and it was already triple digits. The only con for us was the unleveled gravel pads. Our pad took a pretty big dip towards the front which was not fun to set up.
We had a pull thru site with patio. Our fire ring was right next to our neighbors sewage drain, and the way our site slopped we couldn’t put chairs around it.
Almost all of the sites have shade. The laundry facility was clean and the Yellowstone Park entrance is nearby.
They do not enforce the quiet hours, our neighbors were playing loud music and slamming doors until 11:30pm.
We pulled in for a one night stay and wish we could have spent an extra night. The campground is immaculate, beautiful trees giving off plenty of shade, looks to be brand new playground with TURF (so glad to not see rocks!), and the putt putt looks well taken care of.
River Run is our favorite place to stay when visiting RMNP. We have stayed here on two occasions and will be bringing family with us this July. Great dog parks, bike trails, bowling alley, arcade, swimming pools, playgrounds and very clean laundry rooms. They also have activities planned during your stay. The RV sites are well spaced, although it is a newer campground so landscaping is young. We have also stayed in a 2 bedroom villa, but had to leave early due to wildfires. My kids are always excited to visit River Run.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Palmer Gulch KoA. We have two kids ages 3 & 7 and we never ran out of activities at the campground. We rented a full day UTV, rented “banana bikes” and utilized all of the fun zone. Unfortunately, all the horse rides were booked for our weekend.
We had site 303 which was a patio pull-thru, there was plenty of space between our neighbors and right by the fun zone. Our kids were able to play on the playground or basketball court while we watched from our campsite.
If you have children, highly recommend this KoA.
