Quiet and out of the way.

Off hwy 191 and very quiet. Level pads with room to stretch. Wi fi was ok and good cellular signal. Bathrooms are heated with nice showers with plenty of hot water. During our stay, we noticed dirt on the shower dressing area. I'm not sure if it from people tracking it in or the cleaner not mopping properly. It was a minor problem. Host was friendly and helpful. Yes there are many full-time campers, but the rigs are in good shape, and the folks are quiet. Price is good for Moab and we would stay again.

Nice enough

This is primarily for long stays. Creek isn’t much to write home about. Bathrooms are ok but very hot in summer- no a/c and minimal ventilation

Nice quiet place!

Very clean bathrooms with hot showers! Sites were nice and shaded and reservations were easy. The road seems to be random, but the GPS took us to the right place, not marked well from the road, but once you turn on the rod, you see the office. Overall very nice place.

Location not accurate

The location on the map was not even close to where the site is. It was on the south end of town. There were also several permanent living situations there. Did not stay at this location

Love this Site for the Group Camping and Showers + Laundry

Although ungroomed and slightly expensive, I love Pack Creek because of how close to town they are and how nice it is to take a hot shower whilst on the road. There is a laundry room, a big group camping site, hookups, and nice bathrooms.

I usually won't stay there more than one night because of the price (cheapst site was $55 when we went) but it's somewhere I'm sure to stop to regroup and take advantage of their amenities. The manager there told me they have the best water pressure of any site in the area and I believe him lol.

Excellent campground just outside of town

Very quiet. Tent sites are adequate and very well maintained. Showers and laundry are available. Showers are free, laundry is $1.50 for wash, $1.00 to dry. Bathrooms are cleaned on a daily basis. Camp staff was EXCELLENT!!! Very friendly and even did a show for all the campers one night at the pavilion. Make sure you say hi to Evan if you stay there. They offer discounts for military and first responders. Well worth the stay. It's our go to place whenever we are in town.

Big spaces

Large campsites with lots of extra spacing between due to covid. Only complaint is that it was a bit far from town but we knew that going in. Definitely one of the cheapest options in moab.

Other review was spot on

Just reinforcing the last guys’ review and I don’t have much to add. Met one of the caretakers and he was super friendly and helpful. We also had to contact them two days before arriving and they provided great customer service. Facilities are well kept and there is laundry and a sink outside the shower house to wash dishes. Also tent sites have potable water spigots. I like the tent set up where you can camp up top or down below. We tent in the bed of our truck and were able to park and have a picnic table and fire ring right next to us.

Covid precautions taken seriously here and in all of Moab which makes us feel more comfortable.

Nicely maintained private campground in south Moab

Pack Creek Campground is located in south Moab, in an area that is a mix of new construction infill and old Moab funkiness.

I stayed in one of the creekside tent spots, which are very nice and also very adaptable. There is an area in each one large enough for a tent, with a picnic table and a grill, However, many people choose to go down the rock steps to the creekside area, which is more private and little more separated from the RV park. The lower areas do not have a grill or fire ring due to the low tree canopy, but each has a picnic table where you can set up and use a camp stove. Being here really made it seem like I was not in an urban RV park.

The upper level tent sites are are separated by wooden fencing which allows for separation from neighbors.

At this time (September 2020) there are a number of Covid-related measures in place. Grand County remains under a mask mandate, and wearing of masks is being strongly encouraged when using common areas of the campground, especially the restrooms/shower areas. The tent area is being utilized at half capacity, and those in RVs using the park as a long-term base are required to be self-contained, without access to the restrooms.

The park is very clean, and the manager is on site and available whenever needed. Restrooms and showers are immaculate and well stocked.

Despite being somewhat off the main highway, there is still a certain amount of highway noise at night, something which is pretty unavoidable anywhere in Moab due to the whole place being in a canyon. Light sleepers may want earplugs.

Pack Creek Campground is not within walking distance of downtown Moab, so if you are planning to spend time downtown understand that you will need to drive.
