The rocks are jumbo

We had site 117, which was listed as too small for a tent but we easily fit 2 tents/3 people. The rocks give shade and make for great climbing.

Perfect stay

Beautiful sites with trees for shade and privacy. Wildlife is close by - mostly we saw elk which we loved. Easy walk to the rim as well as a market and visitors center.

If you want camping to feel exclusive

This RV resort does not allow tents, although their website shows photos of tents and does not make this clear. While the amenities are nice, the atmosphere was not friendly and we were made to move sites in the middle of a 2 night stay for no reason. The pool was nice on a hot day and the bathrooms were clean, but all in all not worth the price tag.

Big spaces

Large campsites with lots of extra spacing between due to covid. Only complaint is that it was a bit far from town but we knew that going in. Definitely one of the cheapest options in moab.

Steps from Lake Superior

This was a great car campground visited in August 2020. We could walk to the visitor center via a short wooded trail, walk or drive to a small convenience store with firewood, and step over to Lake Superior each evening for sunrise. Lots of black flies in Northern Michigan during late summer, and plenty of humidity but great campground near beautiful hikes. Make sure to do escarpment trail!
