Best RV Parks & Resorts near Veyo, UT

Located on the East end of Zion National Park. You'll find less traffic and quieter area opposed to the campgrounds located near Springdale, Utah on the south end of the park. Full RV hook-ups, tent sites available as well. Laundry facility to refresh you sweaty & dusty gear. Showers to enjoy after a day of hiking and sight seeing. Short drive to Bryce Canyon National Park.

I wanted to have a easy camping trip to Zion not long but easy to put up tent, camp, and have a few luxuries without the price tag and this was it. The camp is right on the entrance to Zion and mountains are all around it. The camp has bathrooms all over for both men, woman, and family restroom. There is also RV hook ups on some of the spots but i just wanted to pitch a tent. We had an easy setup and beautiful view and we just were a few minutes from the visitor center and the bus stops. Sadly for us we didn't get bus passes but instead hiked it up the mountain trails. It was a long hike up from there but well worth it. Also not so far from the campsite is a market to buy things you need about 10 minute walk for us. But there is another outside the park about maybe 15 to 20 depending on pace. No showers at the campground but there is one just outside the park and gear to rent for the narrows and a private bus to take you all the way up.

We were on a road trip around Utah and decided to stop in the town of Saint George to get a bite to eat. We ended up taking our time to eat. By the time that we finished it was already dark and a little bit late. We didn't feel like driving far to a State or National Park, so we looked on TheDyrt app for nearby campgrounds. We found the McArthur's Temple View RV Resort right in the middle of town. 

We first attempted to call the resort to see if they had any openings, but it was a Sunday evening and their office was closed. We were close by so we decided to just cruise over to the site. We found the office and luckily they had an after hours info kiosk with information about available campsites. We found one that was located right behind the office and adjacent to the restroom which worked out perfect for our needs. 

The resort has many other amenities that we did not have time to take advantage of such as a pool, shuffleboard, cable tv, movie theatre, etc. It appears that this is both a long term and short term RV resort with many amenities. We paid the fee via the dropbox which was about $42. The restrooms and all the facilities were clean and accessible. At this resort, you're located in the middle of town, so don't expect easy access to natural areas. However, there are natural areas nearby the town of Saint George. 

The next day we drove to the nearby Valley of Fire State Park and had a blast. 

Caveat: The resort's name is McArthur's Temple View RV Resort which kinda indicates that while at the resort you may view the Saint George Mormon Temple. We could view the temple from an open area within the resort, but not every campsite has a temple view. It's best to simply drive to the nearby temple and check it out if you are so inclined.

Beautiful scenery and clean facilities. Ridiculous prices and camp hosts everywhere. Something very strange going on here. Almost everyone was a camp host. Huge rv’s with 4 to 5 cars…all camp hosts. They charged us $40 for our campervan AND an extra $20 for our tow vehicle. More like RV resort pricing. Now, if you have a monster truck with a 5th wheel, you get to pay $40. Will never stay again. Too many other campgrounds and RV parks in the area with the same scenery and amenities that are much more affordable.

Overall great rv spot, full hook ups, laundry facility, pool, tables and trash cans at each site and lighted drive ways

The Temple View RV Resort in St. George was nice even though the lots are not paved. They have a covered bubble swimming pool, shuffleboard, billiards, and a lot of different scheduled events you can participate in. 50amp full hookups including cable TV and Strong wifi. It's located 10 minutes off the highway. Lot of single wide, well kept trailers that are lined with palm trees. Many high end RV coach's (250k UP) Only issue we had the 2 days we stayed was low water pressure entire stay. Called the office to see if the pressures could be raised and was told to wait a few minutes and try. Well I tryed around 100 times for taking a shower and ended up unable to in our new RV and it wasn't our RV's problem as both neighbors next to me also said their water pressures were weak... Still, its a nice place with nice people. Felt safe & comfortable.

I recently stayed at Settlers RV Resort, touted as a"luxury" RV resort. While the resort is new and nice, some drawbacks keep me from giving it a higher rating. The gravel pads are a big issue, as they require a 4x4 truck to park and pull out, and the gravel is deep. This can be inconvenient and potentially damaging to vehicles.

On a positive note, the park is clean, and the pool and hot tub are well-maintained. The dog area is also great, and the clubhouse is excellent. However, the staff left a lot to be desired. They were rude and not kind towards children and even corrected them directly instead of asking the adults to correct them. I spoke to other guests who had similar experiences with the staff being rude and degrading when the rules weren't clear. This is a big issue, as staff should be trained to interact kindly with guests and their children. 

Overall, I would give Settlers RV Resort a 3 out of 5 stars. While it has some excellent amenities and is clean, the staff and gravel pads are significant issues that keep it from being a truly"luxury" RV resort. Additionally, the issue with Apple Maps taking guests to the wrong RV resort should be addressed by the park's webmaster as soon as possible.

We stayed at Zion RV resort in Virgin, Utah just outside Zion National Park and nearby towns in October 2021. This is a very nice full-service RV resort that offers a variety of pull-through and back-in sites, and cabins. The sites are 50amp FHU, fairly long, and have nice spacing between sites. The park is pristine and offers a large inviting pool and hot tub, laundry room, playground, dog runs, propane fill station, and a real lodge with lots of apparel, home goods, ice, beer and other beverage choices. There is access to the Virgin River from the campground. We really enjoyed our stay here just minutes from Zion and other local attractions. The only downside was wifi coverage if you have Verizon. Just come here. You won't regret it. Dispersed, great Verizon for video calls, beautiful views, high winds at times, close to stores and full hookup RV parks. Best resturants are Oscar's in Springdale and River Rock roasting company.

This RV resort is very clean and well maintained. We stayed here for two nights in October 2020 and we were very happy with our stay. It is close to Zion National Park and not too far from "civilization" if you need to pick up supplies that aren't offered onsite. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to others. One important thing to note: if your GPS tells you to take Sheep Bridge Road to get to Zion River Resort, DO NOT TAKE SHEEP BRIDGE ROAD. Sheep Bridge Road is a poorly maintained dirt road with washboard sections, tight turns, inclines, and other obstacles that make it very difficult to navigate if you're pulling a travel trailer. It was a learning experience, to say the least.
