Loved this campground

Had a fantastic time here with friends for Labor Day weekend. Clean bathrooms, easy hook ups and the host was great. They sell firewood and ice which was a major plus. Also, easy access to town and outstanding hiking within 20 miles all around. Some of the sites are very close together and can be difficult to access with larger trailers. Overall we will definitely be back soon.

Sitesite 24, pull through, but we actually had to back in because of limited room behind us

BEWARE

BEWARE- BE SURE TO CONFIRM YOUR SITE IS STILL WHAT YOU RESERVED. THEY MADE CHANGES WITH NO NOTICE. I made return reservations in Dec 2023 for Memorial Day weekend for a long pull through. Sometime between making the reservation and May 2024, the owners decided to turn the ONE pull through campsite into TWO back in sites with no notice. I cancelled for that reason(what I reserved was no longer what I reserved) two weeks before the reservation date. The cancellation policy does state there is an 8.00 cancellation charge, but I felt/feel that because THEY made changes to what I reserved, my reservation was no longer valid due to THEIR change not mine. I requested to cancel and asked them to waive the 8.00 cancellation fee since what I reserved was no longer available. It was THEIR change, NOT MINE. THEY REFUSE to waive their fee even though they are to blame. It's not the 8.00, it's the principle. Fortunately I was able to find someplace else for a holiday weekend with two weeks notice. They obviously choose money over customer service. BEWARE.

Great Little Campground Close to Cedar Break National Monument

Cedar Canyon Retreat is a cute little campground close to Cedar Breaks National Monument and to the town of Brian Head. We stayed in our 30' TT and site 20 was plenty big enough. The grounds are kept clean as well as the restrooms. The camp hosts are very nice and helpful. The only drawback is that it's right next to Hwy 14 which is the main route into Cedar Breaks and continuing onto Brian Head and can get a bit noisy. There isn't a whole lot of shade around the campground for both RV's and Tent sites. We stayed two nights while visiting Cedar Breaks and the cute town of Cedar City.

Super Pretty Weekend Getaway

My partner and I tent camped here with our two dogs for 2 nights and it was such a great trip! The tent area we stayed in was a little closely packed and kinda awkward to get to because we had to walk through our neighbors campground (T5) to get into ours and you are right up against the highway so during the day it can be a little noisy but it was so pretty here. The camp hosts are super nice and friendly and we’re super informative about the nearby hikes we could do. The bathrooms were incredibly well kept and clean with running toilets, sinks, and showers. This definitely would have been a 5 star campground but I prefer camping in areas where we have a little space from our neighbors but luckily we had super friendly kind neighbors during our trip! I would absolutely camp here again!

Perfect spot for Cedar City and its sights!

We spent two nights this past weekend at Cedar Canyon Retreat and loved it. We split our time between Cedar Breaks National Monument, and Cedar City (for some mountain biking and a visit to the Shakespeare Festival location), and Cedar Canyon was perfectly located in between the two.

The Retreat has great facilities (full hook-ups), bathrooms and office. Everything was absolutely immaculate and working perfectly.

Even though the sites are all fairly close together, they feel very private because of the way they are organized. We were never bothered by any noise from other sites, and if felt like our meals were in perfect solitude.

The host was welcoming and helpful, and provided lots of great advice for nearby hikes with the dog.

We can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful setting, pleasant location

the place is located in a gorgeous setting, although right on Hwy 14. Most sites are well laid out, the restrooms are clean and the staff is nice and helpful. There are a few short trails around the campground.

Great place to explore Utah from!

Quint place with easy access. Close enough to town. Trails to explore on the property and great private bathrooms w/showers. Only been open a couple seasons. We got lucky. Once the word gets out this place will need to be booked months in advance. If we make another trip to Utah we will stay here. 22 ft travel trailer.

Good rest stop as you head into the west

Right off the 15 - Cedar City nearby - an easy overnighter as you head into Tetons, Yellowstone or Glacier from Southern California. There is a great little hike to a nice waterfall off a dam, too, if you arrive early enough. It is noisy from road traffic, so if you can get a spot away from the road that would be to your advantage to a good night sleep. Showers are about the best you can find and wifi is availabvle.

Loved Cedar Canyon Retreat

We stayed five nights at this campground.  It is a smaller, family ran campground.  There are large pull thru's and back-in sites.  They even have a few tent sites.  It is right off of Highway 14 and can be noisy, however we didn't have any issues sleeping.  The restroom/showers were extremely clean.  It seemed they were cleaned several times a day.  Each time we would use one, the toilet would be spotless.  They do offer WIFI however the connection is hit and miss.  This was a nice place to stay that was in between Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks.  It's about 1.5 hours to Bryce and about 1 hour to Zion with only being a few minutes from Cedar City.  We enjoyed the more campground feel vs a large gravel lot that most RV Parks offer.  We would definitely stay here again.

Great small campground.

This campround is mostly for RV's but there are 6 tent sites, 3 of which sit close to the main road. The bathrooms have flush toilets, sinks and showers. They are well maintained and very clean. Tent campsites have fire rings.

Nicely run campground

We sleep in a tent and you can park your car and pitch at a lower section. We camp in a tent in the bed of our truck and this didn’t work for us but the owner allowed us to switch to an available RV site. The grounds are well maintained and the bathroom and shower is really nice—like new build home nice. Super spacious bathroom and shower but there’s only one. There would be two but one was out of commission. Mostly RV spots but about 5 tent spots. Bring ear plugs as it’s right off a state route that makes a lot of noise. Great customer service and we liked the proximity to Zion and Cedar Breaks.
