BLM Mineral Point Dispersed Camping Area

Mineral Point BLM area is a primitive dispersed camping location with minimal amenities. You'll find only basic stone fire rings at the established camping spots. There are no picnic tables, no water sources, no trash services, and no restroom facilities of any kind. This is a true dispersed camping experience where you need to be entirely self-sufficient. The good news is that cell phone signal is relatively decent in the area, allowing for some connectivity while camping.

Mineral Point BLM campground is located near Moab, Utah. To reach it, look for the first open road on the left past the Horsethief BLM fee campground. It's a two-track sandy road that extends approximately 0.6 miles before ending. The turnoff is clearly visible from the main route, and the dispersed camping area contains about 10+ camping spots along this short access road. The spots aren't formally designated, but the suitable camping areas are obvious when you arrive.

Mineral Point follows standard BLM dispersed camping regulations. This is a free camping area with no designated sites, though established camping spots are obvious. Standard BLM dispersed camping rules apply, including pack-in/pack-out of all trash, proper human waste disposal, and respecting existing fire rings. There are no reservations - camping is first-come, first-served. Always practice Leave No Trace principles, stay on established roads, and check for any fire restrictions before your visit. Remember that BLM typically limits stays to 14 days in a 28-day period.
