Lebanon Hills Regional Park

Sites are a little close with little to no privacy in most. Fun little trails nearby for an afternoon walk. Reservation system is weird and the sites are much bigger than they say. All rv sites are the listed length plus 16’ for your tow vehicle, which you need to call to find out.

We love Lebanon Hills! Close to home and an oasis in the middle of the Twin Cities. Sites with full hookups or more remote sites with electric that are more tucked away in the pines. Great hiking.

Stayed here while visit our son. Picked it because it was close. We were very surprised at the privacy of our site. We were in the east loop with just electric.

In demand park close in to cities. RV portion has full hook ups. No hook up sites for up to 24ft RVs also available. Non hook up sites are wooded and well spaced. RV sites similar to private campgrounds. Must reserve months in advance as usually full. Have secluded tent sites too.

We stayed for the whole 14-day experience until you have to leave for the rest of the 30 the place were nice the people were nice the trails were nice fishing was great we enjoy yourself the whole thing

We had an excellent stay at Lebanon Hills Campground this summer. It's close to Minneapolis, so it was a perfect base from which to see the area. The pad was level and new, the sites were roomy and ours (#38) backed up to a wooded area. The water and electric were fine. The maintenance staff is excellent. I was impressed with their bad weather preparation. When we checked in, they were one of the few campground we visited that took the time to tell us where to go for tornadoes. They have a small store - with ice cream!  The showers were clean and the hot water was great. We took several strolls along the fishing ponds and into the woods. We would be happy to stay again.

Great location for easy access to mountain bike trails. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Nice trail within the campground. Some sites are more shaded than others in the east loop so look at photos if you want shade. Sites that back up to the green space are very sunny. 87 is a great site! Plenty of space for a trailer or tent with a private “nook” for the fire pit.

Lebanon Hills is a beautiful county park only a few minutes from Minneapolis / St. Paul. We stayed three nights. Most of the sites are not shady, but there are woods and shade nearby. The park streets and sites are asphalt. The park was quiet except. The campground is part of a very large county park offering many activities and near the zoo.

Stayed in back-in campsite #13 which was not shady but level. It was an asphalt site with grass on either side. There was just than enough parking for my 34 TT and truck. The site included: picnic table on grass and fire ring. Electric and water were located in the rear. 20A/50A electric. Sewer as located in the middle and had another hookup near the front. Neighbors are close.

AT&T had 2 bars of LTE and Verizon 2 bars of LTE service. AT&T Speedtest: 2.29 Mbps down, 0.3 Mbps up. Verizon Speedtest: 180 kbps down, 6.8 Mbps up. Free WiFi: 1.5 Mbps down, 3.6 Mbps up.

Would stay here again.

We love this campground. It's a not-so-hidden gem of a campground. If you can find availablity to make a reservation do not hesitate. This campground is well maintained and has access to plenty to do. Hiking, biking, and fishing to name a few. This campground is in my wife's top 5. The sites are a good mix of private. We stayed at site 45 which was nice and tucked in a corner.

Nice campground that is close to the city. One area has sites closer together and another area more spaced out and wooded. Nice facilities.

What a wonderful park for being surrounded by the cities! We had previously come for walking and kayaking, but this was our first overnight here. The site and restroom/shower are well kept and there are enough trees/plants between the (tent) sites to make it feel private. It's always fun seeing deer, turtles, fish, gardner snakes here.

Wide spaces. Well maintained. Bike friendly. Lights are bright - great for seeing but not for sleeping! Friendly management.

This is a beautiful Park with three separate loops, one for full power and hookups, one with only power and water available and the other with no power. The sides are large and private. Some are wooded and others are open but all were quite nice. Frankly, I'm not sure when I've stayed at a better campground. The bathrooms and showers were spotless and clean three times a day. There's a great playground area for the kids and lots of hiking. Be careful though, there is poison ivy around and ticks can be pretty fierce in Minnesota. We stayed in the East loop and really liked it.

Lebanon Hills is a great park and has a lot of trails for hiking and mountain biking. Our family selected this camp ground to test out some gear -- if we had problems or if we forgot something it was a short drive home. Turns out this is a wonderful camp ground and offers a lot of seclusion. 

Tent camp sites are far enough from each other that neighbors can't be seen, and we didn't hear them either. 

The bathroom facility near the ranger station was very well maintained and cleaned several times a day. 

The only criticisms we have are that you can hear road noise -- and depending on your site you'll hear the alarm of one of the access gates for the Minnesota Zoo.

We went here as an experiment, but will definitely be coming back throughout the year. Reserve early online, most weekends were already reserved by mid May.

I love this park and use it frequently for our "test runs". We have a new puppy and a new teardrop, so this was the perfect place for us to have our maiden voyage within 20min of our home. But besides just being close, it's also a really nice campground. It's very wooded and feels private. The RV section has sites that are a bit close together and open, but the tent sites (where we stayed) are much more secluded. The facilities are clean and well-kept.

The park itself is also really nice. There are lots of hiking trails, mountain biking, lake access for kayaking/paddle boarding... In the winter we love coming here for day trips to take advantage of the cross country skiing and snow shoe rentals.

Great place that has everything you could ask for. If you have kids get close to 90 or 88.

Definitely check this place out great campsites for tent camping right next door to the MN Zoo campsites nicely wooded spread out nicer than some state park campgrounds. Definitely going to check it out again.

My family and I took our second trip with our travel trailer to Lebanon Hills Campground locates here in the Apple Valley. It is located on the fringe of a nature reserve with miles of hiking and biking trails. We stayed in the west loop and all the sites are full hook up back in spots. Each site has well groomed grass and plenty of space between campers. Site also came with a XL picnic table and fire ring w/grill grate. The East Loop provides campers with more rustic accommodations. Also in the East Loop is a nice play ground and trails. In between the different loops is a nice pond with groomed trails that go all the way around. About a half mile from the campground is Skills Park which contains over 10 miles of mountain bike trails! One down side is that if you want to swim you have to travel about 4 miles to Lebanon Hills Visitor Center where there is a beach. They do rent paddles boards and kayaks there. All in all, beautiful place and a great trip!!

I like this campground because there are some fun hiking trails and there is a lot to do!

I stayed here for a week in a tent trailer as I had to work in the area and it was too far to drive each morning.  Was a very nice spot they gave me and had everything I needed, tho I didn’t use the fire ring.  The bath houses were really nice and very spacious, nice play ground for the kids( made me wanna be a kid again) .  30 years too late I guess.  I didn’t go on any of the trails as I was too tired after working 13 hours a day.  The staff was very friendly. Really close to the MN Zoo , so close In fact, you could hear the animals at night.  One night I woke up around midnight course it sounded like the animals escaped, they were so loud.  It was pretty cool though cause it sounded like I was on a safari.  Can’t wait to stay there again.  Hopefully not for work this time!

Excellent customer service and friendly hosts. Clean and we'll kept shower facilities. Camground is clean and safe. Nice spots for either shade, partial shade or full sun.

This is such a wonderful campground in the middle of the cities. Very well kept, nice camping spots, beautiful hiking trails, and very nice staff.

The office was open till 9pm very friendly. A little pricey for tent camping. The sites are private. Great biking and hiking trails. Great amenities. Close to the zoo as well as the city.

We were very impressed with how well the grounds were maintained. One of the best we had seen. We had a back in with full hookups and a fire ring. The park is beautiful and there's a great bike path that goes all the way to the zoo. Downtown Minneapolis is 20-30 min drive away. My only complaint was the fire rings and the neighbor's sewage hookup is close.

This is one of the few places that you can camp in twin cities metro. Both car and RV camping is allowed. Some of the tent sites do have power as well. Bathrooms and Showers are centrally located. Firewood is available for purchase. The camp grounds are located near the Lebanon Hills mountain biking area and miles of day hiking trails. Camping is only permitted in this area and it's not open in the winter.
