Campground amenities vary but typically include clean restrooms with showers, picnic tables, and fire rings. While most sites offer shade from live oak trees, noise can be an issue in some camping areas, with one reviewer describing Karankawa Camping Area as "close to road, 9 million dogs barking all around, loud music after midnight."

Karankawa Camping Area — Goliad State Park

    Lots of history

This park was so great. There was all kinds of history there that you can see for very low prices and also for free. In the tone of Goliath at their courthouse to have a famous hanging tree that was used to hang people still standing.. About 3 miles down the road is Presidio La Bahia. Built by the Spanish army in the mid 1700s. Home of the Goliath massacre. If you enjoy history, you're really gonna love the goalie at State park.

    Rockport/Corpus Christi KOA Holiday

    Rockport Tx- Nice Campground

Nice park! Very clean and well maintained. Pool was nice but only got to use it once. Weather was crumby the entire visit. I went out to the pool a second time and promptly got stung by a bee. That was super fun! Rockport itself had absolutely nothing. It’s about 35 min to Corpus so keep that in mind when you book. They do have a WalMart but it’s not stocked well. It was foggy and dreary nearly everyday but Corpus was sunny…so location location!! The management were very friendly and they have something going everyday all day at the clubhouse and will text you with the days activities. People in the campground were all very friendly.

    Goose Island State Park Campground

    Great place

I visit a lot of the state parks in Texas. Goose Island is a good one. It's a great area for fishing because it's really close to rockport. While most of the state parks do not have WI-FI, they say they do. It's very poor. I have T-Mobile, and the cell service at Goose Island was great. 5G was great. Also, the digital TV signal was excellent. The park staff was very friendly and helpful. Goose Island is close to Walmart. HEB and many other stores in restaurants. The park all around is great. I will definitely return.

    Goose Island State Park Campground

    Low tree branches

the air boats run all day on the weekends and are loud. watch out for low tree branches if you're staying in the wooded areas. If you're staying in the wooden area, stay on the outer loop if you're a big rig.

    Mustang Hollow Campground

    Campground needs TLC

Fine place to stop on the way through and very friendly staff. There is a petting zoo with miniature donkeys and horses, goats and emus! This was a wonderful treat feeding the critters. Sites are small, dirt and uneven. Pictures show a playground, dog park, etc., however, none of these things exist. It looks like they did at one point, but not in the last decade. No atvs or activities listed on website which was frustrating for the kids. Lake was entirely dry—of course no fault of the campground, but didn’t allow for fishing, etc. There were plenty of sites available but we were placed right by the train tracks and main highway. I do understand why, though, because there are quite a few permanent folks toward the back of the park.

    Ancient Oaks RV Park

    Great place to stay

Very friendly staff, down home type. New electric utility posts, clean showers and great location with Live Oak trees. Just over 1 mile to the beach. We stayed last minute on a weekend and we're taken warmly taken in. We'll spend time here again

    Goose Island State Park Campground

    Friendly staff but gross beach

My wife and I went for a quick trip and decided to go to a place we haven’t been. I guess we chose the wrong time to go to this state park. Nothing but misquitos at the campground. And sand fleas come out at night near the water. The staff was super friendly and the bathrooms were okay.
