    Shady Lake RV Park

    Overnight Stop

This park is close to highway and great for overnight stay. The park has pull through full site hookups. The park has a pond that is the center of the entire campground. The park has two dog parks available as well for those traveling with pets.

    Two things I loved:

    1. Close to highway quick stay
    2. The pond nice view with ducklings

One thing I didn’t love: Really close to others for extended stays.

Shady Creek RV Park and Storage

    Family Reunion!

We traveled from West Texas, stayed 4 nights, had rain almost every day. The park is well laid out, small clean well maintained yards. The paved road was beginning to break up from all the rain with pot holes and new ones beginning to pop up. The pads are gravel and almost level. A few guests have been here a while, did see several arrivals and departures. Pet friendly, keep an eye on your pooch as one morning a large dog broke his/her leash one morning and attacked a lady's dog and knocked her down. She was not injured and her doggie is ok. We did not make it to the pool, the patio or to the dog park. All looked great from a distance. Verizon, full bars of service! 🙂

    Patriot RV Park

    Comfortable stay

Stayed for two months for my husband's work. Park manager, Becky, was helpful and nice. They have a saltwater pool, dog park, laundry room, shower/bathrooms, trees/landscaping and access to a boat ramp. Some sites are a bit tight. We were in the top part of the campground and had no issues with it being real wet. Have heard that the lower area does have pooling of water with heavy rain. It does go away quickly, but should be aware of this if you have lots of outside things or a pet. Would stay here again.

    Waggin Tail Ranch RV Park

    Nice big fenced RV spots

We stayed here 5 months on a work trip. Nice sites most are fenced in with big yards. A few pull thru sites unfenced. The long term sites are well maintained, the staff do a great job of keeping the place nice. Nice big dog park with a pond, also a grooming and dog wash area. Has a pool with hot tub, and a small playground for the kids. We enjoyed our time here, so unique to have a fenced yard. Only down side is the Texas heat and none of the sites have any shade trees.

    Lake Bonham Recreation Area

Such a Beautiful Family Friendly Campground

For our first RV camping trip of 2018 we took a short drive north to Bonham State Park right outside of Bonham, Texas. This great little Texas State Park was constructed by the CCC back in the 30's. There are plenty of things for a family to do while camping at Bonham State Park! Hiking, fishing, boat rental and best of all Smors cooked over a roaring camp fire! At every Texas Stae Park you can check out fishing equipment from the front office and you do not have to have a fishing license! Bonham State Park takes the fishing to a whole new level by providing boats so you can get out to where the fish are hiding! Bonham State Park is a great place to take the family for a long weekend of camping fun as it is just a short 45 min drive north of the DFW metroplex!

    Bois D’Ark RV Park

    Bois d’Ark RV Park

Great location to stay if you are visiting the area of Bonham Tx or just passing thru for the night. Lot of road noise. Also be sure to have a long sewer hose. Down town Bonham has lots of great restaurants and there is a Walmart about a mile down the road on hwy 82. Bonham lake is about 2 miles away and the new Texas lake Bois d’ark is about 5 miles away. The lake should be open by March of 2022.

    Lake Bonham Recreation Area

    Charming and we'll cared for

Bonham is a small but uncrowded park. Lovely and clean fresh water lake. Tent campsites are well sheltered by trees. Big grassy group campsite area that looked inviting. Lots of biking/hiking trails. Nature is always a blessing but the landscape here is just your average Texas.

Pat Mayse Sanders Cove Recreations area

    Beautiful lake in the pines.

This is a beautiful, well kept campground. The people that work there are real nice. Its real peacefull. This lake doesn't have a marina so there is not too much boat traffic. There are boat ramps and docks. I plan on taking my kayak next time. It looks great for kayaking. The campsites are spacious. Lots of shade trees. Pets are allowed. It is a quit campground. The campground A & G have vault toilets. The shower house is up near the entrance. I believe that loop C has a shower. Loop A does not have a shower but the main restroom and shower is within walking distance. They give you 1/2 price off if you have an Access Pass. From Paris, TX, take HWY 271 north 12 miles to FM 906 W and follow it 1 mile to CR 35920. Turn left into the park following signs.
