Located just outside of Trenton on 15 acres of sloping terrain with a wide creek and additional acreage beyond the Big Oak for exploring.

Beautiful sunsets, a clear view of the night sky, a calming creek and an occasional visiting deer make for a relaxing stay.

The property is in transition as we are in the process of creating manicured groves and open pasture areas for the enjoyment of our farm animals and guests so expect mud when it rains and an occasional heavy equipment or tractor siting.

We have lived here for over 20 years, our residence is across the road from the camping property so we are available if needed. We run a small heard of Brahmas (the cows with the humps and long ears) and raise goats. Our property is managed organically and when the garden is producing will be happy to share the bounty with our guests.

There is no water, electric or wi-fi on property at this time. All lighting is solar or battery powered. Every camper will be supplied clean drinking water and a Port-o-let is onsite near the tent area.

    Overview

Burns Run East Campground is located on Lake Texoma in Oklahoma's Cross Timbers Region. The lake is said to be the "Playground of the Southwest," where outdoor activities like fishing, boating, hiking and hunting abound.

    Recreation

Lake Texoma is a large reservoir with an excellent fishery and many access points. Boating, swimming, water skiing, hunting, birding and relaxing on the sandy beaches are the typical pursuits of most visitors. The lake is known as the "Striper Capital of the World," one of the few reservoirs in the nation where Striped bass reproduce naturally. Other popular species include largemouth and smallmouth bass, white bass, hybrid striped bass, white crappie, black crappie, channel catfish and blue catfish. Also available is the scenic Cross Timbers hiking trail, a very popular trail that winds for 14 miles above the lake on rocky ledges and through blackjack woodland. Forty miles of equestrian trails surround the lake as well.

    Natural Features

The campground is situated on the southeastern shores of Lake Texoma. Post and blackjack oaks forest the rolling hills of the region. Deer, turkeys, bobcats, hawks, waterfowl and songbirds are abundant around the lake.

    Nearby Attractions

The lake features two wildlife refuges, two state parks and 23 commercial concession areas dedicated to the enjoyment of over six million visitors annually.

    Juniper Point East Lake Texoma

Juniper point east is located on lake texoma right the the Texas Oklahoma board. On hwy 377 right before you go over the willus bridge. The location is amazing, quite and beautiful. Some sites are unleavened bit the view of the lake from all camp sites are amazing. There's a flock of Canadian geese that love to hang out at the camp ground, a boat dock and plenty of room to park boat trails.

    Nice and clean

Nice easy place to stay the night. Bathrooms and showers are super clean. Not the most scenic of places but quiet and fairly easy to access - highway construction was underway in June 2024.

No trespassing and dog warning signs

The coordinates bring you to what looks like a driveway that has signs for no trespassing and beware of dogs. After looking at the map, it looks like that’s the only way to get back there, so I’m assuming the homeowner who shares that road put those signs to keep people away.

    Better send carrier pigeon....

Tried calling several times(during business hours) and wrote several times, never got back to me. Finally just drove there(through the rain), calling again about 5 minutes away. They finally answered only to be told they were full. Asked about other days and they said they weren't sure but to call the morning of. I said you know, I've called and wrote and left several messages- would've been nice to get a call back, as now I'm basically here. She said sorry and laughed. Seriously?! No online booking at all and incompetent management- who would call the morning of to see if you drive X amount of miles to stay? And I'm the idiot that drove there after not hearing back, ugh.

    East Fork Park Campground

    Functional with good views

Pros: Great views of the water and wildflowers in the meadows. Reasonable price. Everything works and the shaded picnic tables are a plus. 5G plus signal on ATT for anything you might need online. Downsides: It looks like there could be a lot of water pooled on and behind our site with a heavy rain. The pad has definitely broken up over time and isn't level. The fire pit is also sitting at an angle. We noticed two groups of campers with 4-6 extra cars having gatherings last night, so that might have been distracting if we were right next to them.

    Thousand Trails Lake Texoma

    Typical Thousand Trails

A decent spot to stop. The roads within the park itself could use some serious attention. When you first drive into the park, to the left they are in the process of building an entire new section and it looks nice. I wish they would do some upkeep on the rest of the park as well. It’s first come, first served. The first spot I chose had a bad pedestal, so I had to pick up and choose another spot. I would definitely recommend checking the pedestal before unpacking. There were a ton of spots closed off because of the bad pedestals. There’s a nice walk to Lake Texoma which was nice. Not a lot to do around otherwise. Only 4 washers and 4 dryers for the entire park. Verizon service was good, along with T-Mobile. Even better with my cell booster. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

    Secluded and quiet

We had had a blowout on our rv and needed to stay the night instead of finishing our travel they answered the phone on a Sunday which surprised me (I had call around) The lady at the desk was so helpful and informed us about discounts my husband was missing because of his service (National Guard Vet) which has been so greatly appreciated! The spot was unleveled but that’s no big deal if you have leveling blocks. Very beautiful and quiet when we visited in early August. The man in charge when we left was very helpful and mingled a moment with my husband before we headed home nice people and clean establishment definitely will be going back

    Gone Fishing RV Resort

Great RV Resort near Lake Texoma - Gordonville, TX

We've been staying at this gated RV Resort since May, 2023. The new owners are amazing! Customer service is top notch and they do everything to make you feel at home. There is complimentary trash pickup, a dog walking area with dog stations, benches for relaxing and watching stunning sunsets, on-site laundry, propane and ice for sale and a fish cleaning station. Park also has complimentary wif-fi and Verizon and AT&T work well here. Owners are currently in the process of remodeling the office, 3 bathrooms and they are adding a fitness area. There will be a general store complete with snack items and ice cream once complete. All sites are full hook up, 30 and 50 amp sites available. Lake Texoma and the boat launch is 1/4 mile away. The owners provide complimentary boat launch passes too. There is a casino with cafe approximately 1 mile away, 9-hole golf course about 2 miles away and multiple restaurants and shopping within a half hour.  We also went on a fishing charter with Triple Header Fishing Guide (thfgtx@gmail.com) and it was so fun. We highly recommend this RV Resort. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful campground for families with children!!

Beautiful camping grounds!! Took my 6 year old daughter for her first camping trip and she loved it. The horses came into our camp and she was mesmerized by their size and beauty. Most amazing experience. She caught her 1st bass in the pond as well. The entire property is simply beautiful and I'd strongly recommend Dads to bring their girls and boys out to enjoy this amazing display of nature and wildlife.

    Great Place!

Tented 2 nights. Spot A5. Spot was good. Right on the water. Could boat up if you wanted. Nice and shady, even good shade in the direct western sun. Beautiful sunsets! Hike right from camp.

Reason for only 4 stars: toilet pits and bathhouse needs a little TLC. It’s time to clean up the shorelines. And the site ground could use some grass. Tax dollars don’t really help so don’t forget to DONATE!

    Wonderful overall experience

Wild, yet docile horses will approach you. You can pet them and feed them by hand. Tall trees and gorgeous campsites. Donkeys hee-hawing, birds singing, and fire flies glowing. Scattered ponds throughout this 100 acre plot. Feel free to explore the nature or just chill at your campsite. Rick Parent, the friendly wolf-rescuing author and musician, will be your contact for your stay. He will have your spot mowed and ready before your arrival. He is kind, welcoming, and such a treat to visit with. There are minimal mosquitoes, so that was certainly a relief. You will be about 12 minutes away from the nearest Walmart, in case you forget some camping supplies. We had to go there to buy more carrots for the horses. (40 pounds of carrots). I highly recommend that everyone go check this place out! Share the energy of this beautiful land and always remember to pack out what you pack in.
