South Central Texas is a prime area of the state to explore. Known far and wide as the Hill Country, it is so named for its rolling hills and woodlands. Famous for its excellent wineries, historic small towns and natural beauty, the Hill Country also boasts a unique offering for campers known as Enchanted Rock State Park. 


Enchanted Rock is a large pink granite dome that rises 425 feet above the surrounding terrain and is the largest granite monadock in the United States. Indians, Spaniards and early settlers all had stories of magical, spiritual or unexplained happenings around the rock which gave the feature its name. These days, one of the most intriguing sights is at night, after a rain. The wet dome seems to glitter in the moonlight and while regarded as a simple play of light on the granite, the effect adds to both the mystery and enchantment of the area. 


Another intriguing site in the Hill Country is Jacob’s Well, a short 78 miles southeast from Enchanted Rock State Park. Fed by a natural artesian spring, Jacob’s Well consists of a large pool connected to a vast underground cavern system that sprawls more than 4300 feet. The spring is connected to the Trinity Aquifer and emits thousands of gallons of water each day where visitors can enjoy the cool 68 degree water. 21.56 acre homestead in the Piney Woods of Deep East Texas that you will have the freedom to explore, hike, bike, and camp on without pesky campground neighbors breathing down your neck! 

  

Our grounds are maintained much like public lands would be. We don't want to feel like a campground- we strive to maintain the integrity of being out in nature- there's plenty of"campgrounds". 

  

We will limit the number of reservations to always ensure that hidden spot in the woods feel when you stay with us! Each campsite will receive a fire ring and portable camp toilet system. We do offer an outdoor hot/cold shower for our guests. 

  

You're encouraged to bring your fishing gear as there multiple opportunities at the areas famous fishing holes including Lake Livingston, Lake Conroe, and Lake Sam Rayburn- just to name a few! 

  

If you are a mountain biker- feel free to bring your setup! We would encourage help in designing a great ride through course! Hiker- we have you covered there as well! 

  

Bring your horses and enjoy riding on our property- we dont have stalls or a barn for them, but you are welcome to graze them for hours and ride them freely on our land. 

  

ATV's are welcome to be used on our property so long as our property and other guests are respected. 

  

We will be building this campground as we go, using input from our guests! We offer loyalty bonuses, too! 

  

Due to having no paved roads- 4WD currently recommended. 

  

Children and well behaved furry family friends are welcome to join us. We do have livestock you are welcome to interact with including pigs, roosters, miniature horses and more as we are also a farm animal rescue and sanctuary. 

  

The park as a whole will be under constant growth and expansion. As a result, prices will evolve as amenities are added.

Triple Creek RV Music Park

## Overview

Rayburn Park lies on the north shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir, a popular family destination with boating and fishing and access to hunting less than a mile away. Sam Rayburn Reservoir and the surrounding Angelina National Forest provide a wintering habitat for the bald eagle. During the winter months, forest visitors may see the bald eagle soaring over the lake, perched on a flooded snag or in a tall pine along the shoreline.

## Recreation

Sam Rayburn Reservoir is well-known for its largemouth bass, with numerous tournaments hosted here each year. Among the most impressive catches ever recorded is a 74-pound Flathead catfish.   
  
The lake is also popular for jet skiing, water skiing, swimming and birding. It's used as a feeding and resting grounds for migratory birds on their path to the Gulf Coast. A resident population of wood ducks remains in the forest year-round.

## Facilities

The park is open year-round and features 46 campsites with water and electric hookups ranging from 30 to 50 amps. A boat launch and playground are also available.

## Natural Features

At 114,000 surface acres, Sam Rayburn is the largest man-made lake that is completely within the boundaries of Texas. The reservoir is fed by the Angelina River, a major tributary of the Neches River.   
  
The piney woods region boasts native flora like orchids, insect-eating plants and scores of animal species. 

## Nearby Attractions

From the eastern edge of the lake, hikers can embark on a 28-mile trail that heads east to the Toledo Bend Reservoir.

Rayburn

## Overview

Mill Creek Park is a large, comfortable campground on the Sam Rayburn Reservoir, also known as Lake Sam Rayburn, tucked in the piney woods of southeast Texas. The lake and the surrounding Angelina National Forest, provide a welcoming home for bald eagles in winter. The rare red-cockaded woodpecker also resides in the forest here.

## Recreation

Fishing at the reservoir is wildly popular, with frequent fishing tournaments. Catches include largemouth bass, crappie and catfish.   
  
Birding is also big, with chances to see warblers, vireos and other migratory songbirds. A resident population of wood ducks remains in the forest throughout the year.

## Facilities

The park features 110 campsites with water and electric hookups. There's also a group shelter, boat ramp, designated swimming beach, a playground, and volleyball court for family entertainment.

## Natural Features

The campground is on the southeast shores of Sam Rayburn Reservoir. The lake boasts over 114,000 surface acres, making it the largest man-made lake that's completely located in Texas. 

## Nearby Attractions

From the eastern edge of the lake, hikers can embark on a 28-mile trail that heads east to the Toledo Bend Reservoir.

Mill Creek (texas)

## Overview

Sandy Creek Park is located on the southeast side of B.A. Steinhagen Lake between the towns of Woodville and Jasper in southeast Texas. The lake provides a great getaway for fishing, boating, picnicking, camping and birding.

## Recreation

B.A. Steinhagen Lake is a prime location for boating, canoeing, fishing and wildlife viewing. Several parks with boat ramps and docks are scattered around the lake, including facilities within Sandy Creek. Boat rentals are also available.  
  
Fishing is a popular pastime. Largemouth bass, catfish and crappie are the primary sport species found in the lake. Fishing docks are located within the park.  
  
The road system within Sandy Creek Park offers excellent family biking opportunities for 3-5 mile rides. Campers enjoy the park's volleyball court and children's playground.

## Facilities

Sandy Creek Park is open year-round and offers numerous campsites, 71 of which have water and electric hookups. A group day-use picnic shelter is also available. Flush and pit toilets, showers and a dump station are provided. 

## Natural Features

The lake lies in the heart of the East Texas Pineywoods, a beautiful region known for its pine uplands, bottomland hardwoods and pine-hardwood mixed forests, which provide habitat for a wide range of wildlife.  
  
White-tailed deer, squirrels, rabbits, red and gray fox, Bobwhite quail, and numerous species of ducks, geese, waterfowl and songbirds make their home in the area.

Nearby Martin Dies, Jr. State Park offers hiking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, biking and wildlife viewing opportunities. The Walnut Slough, Sandy Creek and Neches Paddling Trails meander from 3-16 miles on the park's backwater sloughs, the open lake and the swift Neches River.   
  
The Angelina-Neches/Dam B Wildlife Management Area is located at the north end of the lake, covering nearly 13,000 acres. The area boasts beautiful mature hardwoods, including cypress, sweet gum and red and water oak. Some areas features stands of loblolly and shortleaf pine. Visitors have the opportunity to hunt, fish, hike and view wildlife in the extraordinary ecosystem.

## Overview

Twin Dikes Park is located on the waters of the Sam Rayburn Reservoir, in the Piney Woods of southeast Texas.   
  
The region lies in the migration path of warblers, vireos, and other species of neotropical migrants, so spring is an opportune time for birders to visit the park.

## Recreation

The lake is a highly popular recreation destination for boating and fishing. Game fish include largemouth bass, bluegill and channel catfish. The abundance of bass in the lake, has inspired more than 300 annual tournaments.

## Facilities

The park features 43 campsites with 30 to 50 amp electric hookups, hot showers, a group picnic shelter and boat ramp.

## Natural Features

Twin Dikes is on the southern shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir, in the Big Thicket region of Texas, the densest portion of the Piney Woods, a region characterized by temperate coniferous forests.   
  
The 114,000-acre lake was impounded in 1965 along the Angelina River, and has an average depth of 80 feet with average clarity.

The 20,700-acre Bannister Wildlife Management Area is on the northern peninsula of the lake. Hikers and bikers can come here to explore the designated Eastern Wild Turkey restoration site.

Magnolia Ridge Park is located on the northwest side of B.A. Steinhagen Lake, between the towns of Woodville and Jasper, Texas. The lake provides a great getaway for fishing, boating, picnicking, camping and birding.

B.A. Steinhagen Lake is a prime location for boating, canoeing, fishing and wildlife viewing. Several parks with boat ramps and docks are scattered around the lake, including facilities within Magnolia Ridge.  
  
Fishing is a popular pastime. Largemouth bass, catfish and crappie are the primary sport species found in the lake. Younger anglers love the Kid's Fish Pond within Magnolia Ridge, and Kid's Fish Day is held annually in June.

Magnolia Ridge Park is a year-round campground that offers 41 reservable campsites, 39 of which have water and electric hookups. Other facilities include a group day-use picnic shelter and group overnight shelter, both with electric hookups.
