Many amenities

General: Huge RV park located just on the outskirts of kitschy Pigeon Forge. There are back-in sites, pull-thru sites, and cabins. As is typical in RV parks, there is little to no privacy between sites.

Site Quality: Some have concrete pads while others have gravel pads. All are level. All are FHU. We had reserved a “premium” riverfront access site plus we paid an extra fee to “secure” our site (as opposed to having them assign a site upon arrival). We did have riverfront access, however, what we did not know when we reserved was that on the other side of the river directly behind our site was an asphalt plant and we listened to heavy trucks rumbling back and forth all day long. Site 17 was like a pie slice, however, so we did have a bit more space between us and neighboring sites than other sites.

Bath/Shower house: Code entry and clean. Two of the three stalls in the one closest to our site did not have working latches. However, because everyone else in the campground had large RVs (with bathrooms), I never saw anyone else in the bathroom. The shower had nice hot water but in the women’s, the flow was a little wimpy. Hubby said his shower had a nice strong flow.

Amenities/Activities: There are many including two pools, a lazy river, a hot tub, a bounce pad, pickle ball, gaga ball, basketball, an arcade, a fitness center, an RV wash, a dog park, and laundry. You pay a resort fee for these amenities. The laundry room was clean and reasonably priced at $2 wash and $2/dry.

With our camper van, we had the smallest by far rig in the entire campground. We typically do not stay in RV parks but we needed to empty our gray water, fill our fresh water, and do laundry. It was a splurge to stay here so we only stay in RV parks when we need to. For the price, three stars; 4 for the amount of amenities.

We aren't exactly sure where you booked, but it wasn't here at Pigeon Forge RV Resort. We do have a creek that borders the park, but the only thing across from it is a tree filled mountainside. And we don't have a lazy river. We have a large heated salt water pool and a 2 story slide. We have 13 restrooms and each comes with a private shower, sink, place to sit down and a place to hang your clothes. There are no stalls in our restrooms. We also have a pizza deli with other goodies to purchase that can be enjoyed poolside. We're glad that you had a nice time, and maybe if you return to the Pigeon Forge area you can check us out. Our address is 1111 Wears Valley Road, Pigeon Forge.

Away from crowds

This was our first ever trip with a travel trailer and first experience in an rv park. We have booked creek side space and loved it. One minus was bunch of geese turds everywhere and people walking their dogs by the river, however that did not bother us too much. Very helpful personnel. Very clean bathhouses and laundromat. Will sure be back to this rv park.

Thank you so much for staying with us and giving us 5 stars! As much as we enjoy the geese and goslings, they do make a terrible mess. We've talked to them about it, but they just don't seem to listen!!! Apparently they love the peaceful creek as much as our guests do. We love hearing that you will be coming back to see us and we hope that it is sooner rather than later!

Great location - not private

I like this place because it’s in a great location to get to Gatlinburg, enjoy Pigeon Forge and see Cades Cove. If you prefer secluded quiet campsites this place is not for you. We expected families with kids and lots of neighbors at this location. We stayed 3-nights and two days. Love that sites have sewer hookups. Was able to stream tv using their Wi-Fi and I was able to work, but there is very little Verizon service here and as the weekenders arrived my phone fell off Wi-Fi repeatedly making it difficult to even send a pic via text. The community center has an adorable fireplace with rocking chairs you can enjoy. My main complaint is a few peoples lack of camp ground etiquette. A family of 8-10 kept walking through our site to get to the pool. It happened at least 25 times on a Thursday. The reason it bothered me is as I was on a meeting a child, walking with her mother decided to yell to someone else as they were near my RV and window. When they left the traffic reduced greatly. Unfortunately they were not the only people as a lady walking her dog did the same. Some of the sites have RVs rear to rear and our neighbors site rear was empty, but they still walked between he and I.
All in all, I’d consider staying here again for the location and amenities, but hope for better considerate neighbors.

Amazing campground

This was our first time camping with our new travel trailer and we wanted to make sure we had an accommodating area. This ground was perfect! With a bath house, pool, laundry and PERFECT location near downtown. Our party of 6 and dog had a blast. We appreciated the constant surveillance of the grounds as well.

Best in Pigeon Forge

Just had our 3rd stay. This is a very nice resort with tons of amenities and they keep working to improve. 1st rate bathhouse with stone tiles, resort type pool, outdoor gas fireplaces and firepits, concrete pads, creek, and more. All this at around a mile off the parkway.

New name

This campground is now named Pigeon Forge RV park. Everything looks brand new. Very nice facilities and campground. Onsite laundry, showers, heater saltwater pool with slide, dog park, store, pizza place, daily trash pickup, very stable wifi you can stream with. Spots are a little tight to back into, but the staff will help you get backed in if needed. Very friendly people. Highly recommend if your traveling to the Pigeon Forge area. Only a few minute drive off the main strip of Pigeon Forge

New ownership and called Pigeon forge rv resort

This was formally the eagles nest, now called pigeon forge rv resort. New club house, New bath houses, New camp sites, New everything. We stayed here during the spring rod run and had a blast. It was just far enough out wears valley to be away from the crowd. Sites were newly graded and many have been poured in concrete. But ours was gravel and the gravel was fresh so camper settled a little but wasn't an issue. We love the camp ground.
