Weekend stay

This place is nice, clean and quiet with newer RVs. It’s only a few miles off 78, about 10-15 miles from Carlsbad beach and the same distance to Escondido. We are long-time San Diego residents living out of state and came home to visit family. This is not a park like private site setting. It’s an RV parking lot with sewer and water hook-ups. If you want a location and North County works for you, this is a good place. There are two mobile homes but the RVs are all newer. Sites are narrow and close together, but this is the city in San Diego, not a spacious national park! Bathrooms in pool area are clean.

Hidden in the trees

I like this park. When we arrived with a reserved pull through site, they asked if we would consider a back in site, which we accepted. There were some park closures due to gov’t shutdown that shifted guests plans. The back on site was really nice against the walking path. The site has full hookups including sewer and cable. The Wi-Fi is pretty good for streaming. I had a little trouble working on a team call but I switched to cellular and it was fine. Both AT&T and Verizon have full bars. We didn’t visit the baths, showers, laundry now coffee shop. The park is quiet and we even got a very friendly visit from the resident black cat, Moses. The sites are level. Be careful on the road in. It’s a little bumpy but it evident they do try to maintain it. It also has two turns that you want to take wide.

Great location - not private

I like this place because it’s in a great location to get to Gatlinburg, enjoy Pigeon Forge and see Cades Cove. If you prefer secluded quiet campsites this place is not for you. We expected families with kids and lots of neighbors at this location. We stayed 3-nights and two days. Love that sites have sewer hookups. Was able to stream tv using their Wi-Fi and I was able to work, but there is very little Verizon service here and as the weekenders arrived my phone fell off Wi-Fi repeatedly making it difficult to even send a pic via text. The community center has an adorable fireplace with rocking chairs you can enjoy. My main complaint is a few peoples lack of camp ground etiquette. A family of 8-10 kept walking through our site to get to the pool. It happened at least 25 times on a Thursday. The reason it bothered me is as I was on a meeting a child, walking with her mother decided to yell to someone else as they were near my RV and window. When they left the traffic reduced greatly. Unfortunately they were not the only people as a lady walking her dog did the same. Some of the sites have RVs rear to rear and our neighbors site rear was empty, but they still walked between he and I.
All in all, I’d consider staying here again for the location and amenities, but hope for better considerate neighbors.

Nice location with tons of deer and beautiful sunswts

We stayed at site 1 for 3-nights. We had a squirrel eating and dropping his acorns on our travel trailer. We found it a fun addition to our experience. When we arrived on Sunday afternoon, there were passes for cars taped to the window but our was not there. There was no one in the booth. Despite this we found our site easily near the entrance gate and got set up. We got our vehicle pass the next day. The bathrooms were campsite clean, not hotel clean, which met my expectations. I wrongly believed the sites had sewer based on the Dyrt icons but they only meant they have a dump station at the camp ground. Sites do not have sewer. This location is about 20 mins to Nashville and there is plenty to see for fun. Be careful driving in as there are a ton of deer in the late afternoons along the road.

Beautiful and peaceful

Really pretty site with lake in the back yard, which made sunsets so enjoyable. Locals warned us (a day late) to beware of mosquitoes as sunset). We ventured into Little Rock for fun, which was about a 20 min drive. It is also a little over an hour to Hot Springs Village. The site is mostly level, a little close to neighbors but they are not right on top of you. There are shade trees. The showers were ok. Hot water, a little run down in my opinion but hubby thought they were fine. The only thing that would have made this better is sewer at the sites. There is a dump station so that’s good.
