Amazing lil gem

One of my favorite rv parks, beautiful setting, close to everything but very peaceful. And they have lil cabins and rvs to rent if you don't have one. I will always choose here when visiting gatlinburg/pigeon forge area.

Great Place Just Off The Beaten Path

Up the Creek RV Camp is a great little RV camp just down the way from bustling Pigeon Forge. The sites are decently sized, with picnic tables, fire rings and cement pads for basic sites, and tables and chairs with larger fire pits at premium sites. There are no tent pads or bath houses, it is truly and RV campground. There is a small dog park, two creeks (wadable) and lots of peace and quiet. We stayed for a week and were impressed by both the staff and the guests friendliness and helpfulness.

Great, Quiet Canpground

Best place in Pigeon Forge. It’s a ways off the main drag, but that makes it quiet. The sites are not just a parking lot with slides touching awnings. Within a few minutes of checking out, groundskeepers are Johnny on the spot with a weed eater, leaf blower, and a bucket to shovel your fire out out for the next camper. Sites 14-18 seem to be a little more spaced out, with much better views of the creeks. Sites are all very level and most are large enough for bigger rigs. A few spots do have trees that make it tight backing in.

We were the only family there with kids, and there is no playground. If you are looking for a super quiet place for a couple to go camping... this is the place,

Highly recommended if you’re visiting the Smoky Mountains

What a great park.

From the well maintained and equipped sites and the trolly stop for transportation downtown to the good WIFI and beautiful creeks on each side, we would highly recommend this campground.

We spent four days here while exploring Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and surrounding areas.

The registration office was closed while we were there due to COVID but that didn’t change anything for us.

The only things that could make this better would be laundry on site, a larger dog area, and possibly a camp store but with everything that is located so close by, it is not a big need.

We much prefer this to the campgrounds on the strip because it felt secluded but was still close enough to not miss a thing.

Quiet, Spacious, and Well Maintained

We had a wonderful week with Up the Creek guests and staff. The grounds are well maintained and staff is visible and around when you need them! The guests were all very friendly and courteous! There were a lot of dog walkers, bike riders, kids playing, and guests relaxing outside. The feeling of community and laid back atmosphere made this trip exceptional! I would highly recommend this campground and will certainly be back!

Beautiful campground!

I can’t say enough great things about this campground. It was so peaceful and quiet. My kids loved playing by the river. It’s close to all the areas attractions but far enough where it feels like you are camping in the wilderness. If you are thinking about booking I suggest sites 3 - 15 definitely have the best views of the river. Only draw back is their no streaming WiFi policy. I’m fine with giving up technology for a week but camping with a 5 and 6yo is challenging without streaming capabilities.

Quiet and Calm

This is a small, quiet campground just outside the craziness of Pigeon Forge. There are no real amenities, so you need a self contained camper. It is dog friendly, clean and has many creek side sites.

Laid back

Sites are big but close to other sites, we were in the deluxe site and the patio was nice along with wood burning pit. The creek sounds so peaceful at night and there wasn’t much mosquitos. I like this place not far from everything. We have 3 dogs so we like a little more room and privacy.

Relaxing weekend

This is seriously the quietest campground I’ve ever been to. I wouldn’t bring children to it (there’s nothing for them to do there, anyway) but it’s a very relaxing “adult” campground. Easy to get into spots with nice picnic tables, concrete patio, and small fire pit.

Lovely Campground

This campground is a hidden gem in the Pigeon Forge area. It is close enough to town for convenience, but far enough away that you are not bothered by the hustle and bustle of the Parkway. The campsites are spacious and clean. The RV parking pads are level and gravel, and the cement patio provides a nice place to relax outside. The Pigeon Forge public trolley stops every hour, offering the convenience of visiting town without having to find a place to park! Highly recommended.

Off the main strip a bit for some peace.

We have been coming to Up the Creek shortly after they opened. This campground is a short drive off the main strip in Pigeon Forge which makes for some peacefulness while camping. We love the fact that there is trees between campers so it doesn’t feel like your camping on top one another. There are clean a lovey creeks around the campground that makes it nice to camp by or kids play in. The shade helps with cooling in the summer, and makes it nice to sit outside. They have grown and now have some new larger campsites, and there is a dog area that is fenced in. This is a very clean campground and the pigeon forge trolley comes around every so often for guest. They don’t have a bathhouse yet, playground, but they do have full hook ups, cable, WiFi and super friendly staff. If you wanna be away from traffic give this campground a try.

Nice sites, no amenities.

This is one of the nicest RV Parks in the Dollywood area IF you don’t need a bathhouse, toilet, swimming pool, etc. The sites are some of the largest in the area, the grounds are meticulous, cable TV and Wifi is good and the park is easy to access.
