The sound of creeks flowing on both sides of the campground creates a natural soundtrack that carries through the wooded sites. Up the Creek RV Camp sits several minutes off the main Pigeon Forge strip, providing full hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer connections alongside amenities like WiFi and a dump station. The campground operates seasonally from mid-March through early December.
Sites feature level gravel pads with concrete patios, picnic tables, and fire rings. Trees separate most sites, though Michael W. notes "a few spots do have trees that make it tight backing in." Sites 14-18 receive particular praise for spacing and creek views, while sites 3-15 offer the best water access according to multiple campers. Premium sites include upgraded amenities like patio furniture and larger fire pits. A small fenced dog area accommodates pets.
The campground's location allows quick access to Pigeon Forge attractions while maintaining distance from traffic noise. A Pigeon Forge trolley stops at the property, providing transportation to downtown areas without parking concerns. Campers can wade in the accessible creeks, and the tree canopy provides shade during summer months. Cell service varies by location within the campground, and WiFi has restrictions on streaming services.
Staff maintain the grounds actively between guest stays, with groundskeepers handling site cleanup and maintenance. The property lacks traditional campground amenities like playgrounds, bathhouses, or laundry facilities, making it primarily suited for RVs with self-contained facilities. Reservations are available for the seasonal operation. For those planning extended stays in the area, camping near Pigeon Forge includes several other options within a few miles.
The combination of creek sounds, tree coverage, and distance from main roads appeals most to couples and adult campers seeking a quieter base for exploring the Smoky Mountain region.

Directions
We recommend accessing Up the Creek RV Camp from Interstate 40, EXIT 407 and through Pigeon Forge TN, (U.S. 441 S.). Other routes exist, but tend to be curvy or steep and may not be RV-friendly. GPS routes have led people down roads that we consider difficult for RVs to negotiate. Directions From I-40, Exit 407: Turn right (or westbound turn left) on to Hwy 66. (Hwy 66 turns into 441 S.) Follow 441 S. through Sevierville to Pigeon Forge. It’s approximately 12.5 miles to Traffic light #1 in Pigeon Forge (The traffic lights are all numbered at the top – 1, 2A, 2B) Continue to Traffic Light #3 & turn right onto Wears Valley Rd. (U.S. 321). Follow Wears Valley Rd. 2.5 miles to third traffic light, & turn right onto Walden Creek Rd. Go straight past the gas station about 1/2 mile & turn left on to Little Valley Rd. Cross bridge & we’re located on the left. Look for the covered wagon at the campground entrance.
