Family fun

Stayed here and June with family and then came back in July as a Camp Host. Electric sites only, however water and dump stations are available on your way in. We stayed in Cascade which is full on the weekends. Great access to the lake, beautiful views of the sunset. Clean showers and sights. There are a lot of bugs, so be prepared. Would definitely stay here again.

Great spot on the water

Sheps Canyon rec area primitive camping on the Angostura Reservoir. This are used to be free , but is now $11/ night and has 40 sites fc/fs. Half back up to the water about 75 ft away down an embankment. Dump and fill down the road at the reservation camp ground

Spacious

The lake is great for boats if you prefer to bring one. Only issue that I may have is if you get a tent site make sure that your tent will fit. We have a rather large tent and there are a couple of spots that it will not fit. Hosts are pretty nice. I love that the marina isn’t to far from the tent sites and they do have lots of trees to help keep your tent well shaded during the heat of the day.

Very big recreation area

I stayed in the Cheyenne Campground, our spot was right behind a hill with decent tree coverage. Spots weren't too close together. There's a beach, biking trail, marina, resturant and great views. The bathhouse was very clean with big showers.

Beautiful place

We were here in early October. We rented an RV spot online. Caught a beautiful sunset and stayed right next to the beach and lake even though it was cold. All facilities closed. We paid for full hookup but electricity cut off at 8 in all campgrounds. Probably a glitch.

Perfect lake side tent site

We visited cascade falls while we were camped there as well as kidney springs. Felt very close to nature. Bugs were bad but incense sticks and Citronella coils did the job.

Beautiful site but bad with bugs!

We were in Cheyenne, space 21. Nice and spacious woodsy campsite that just overlooks a little stagnant pond; unsure if there were fish in there or that the water was good enough to swim in. There were close vaulted toilets. It was a little distant to the flushed toilets and showers but a shirt drive up the hill was fine, you can walk too if you’d like.

The campsite during after the sun goes down is a different story. The bugs here are horrible, they are attracted to light of any kind, so do yourself a favor and grab quite a few of those citronella candles.

The lake was amazing and beautiful. It was too cold for us to swim but we grabbed a 1 day fishing license and caught soooooooo many fish. They have an amazing fishing cleaning station as well.

Overall, decent stay. Would attempt to stay again if I was more prepared for the bugs.

Perfect Tent Spot

This campground is quiet, with large lots overlooking the lake. Loved our night under the stars here.

A nice stop

This was a great one-night stop for our family. A spacious beach area, playground, free showers and room to play frisbee made us give this place four stars even though the sites are rather packed in and not terribly roomy.

Lake Camping

Nice walk ways all around the lake. Clean, clear water that is good for riding on the boat, tubing, and kayaking.
