Beautiful Nature Preserve Close to Amenities

Beautiful nature preserve with large 50+ site campground. Tent sites around $28. Within 6 miles of stores and amenities. Helpful camp hosts know which sites may be best for certain equipment.

Keep Driving!

Subpar; seems to cater to long term residents. For the 3 pages of rules and regulations I was expecting a pristine campground; what we found was a half paved parking lot and our lot was on a hill side which made using our full hookups going up hill. No fire pit! Must provide ur own, rules state…

Secluded Campground in National Forest

It was difficult for me to find Woods Ferry, but after talking with a park official, I finally got there. It is off the beaten path, so it is quiet. Apparently, there had been a lot of rain recently, and the area showed it. Woods Ferry is a campground mainly for campers who have horses. There are…

Well kept and close to the park!

You can purchase Carowinds tickets right here and ride a shuttle all day long to the park rather than fight traffic. They enforce the rules really well so quiet time is actually just that. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Cabelas, Walmart, and other shopping is nearby for supplies as well…

Nice county park!

Always a great getaway from the bustle of city life. Day use area can be packed in the summer but they have plenty of rules to keep the park beautiful and orderly. The camping side has scattered tent and group sights with some large wooded RV sights and clean cabins. Bath house is very well kept…

Large historic area- shaded lots

The campground is nice to roam with a wonderful playground. Events are held at an amphitheater by the day use area. Almost all campsites are heavily shaded but navigation with a larger RV would be difficult. Lots of trails but they get swampy after rain. Abundant wildlife including copperheads.…

Great for trip to Charlotte NC

We came here to do some trailer maintenance and because it is very close to home. We were not expecting it to be a great camping experience, but we’re pleasantly surprised! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the campsites were clean, and the bath houses were newly updated and…

A Bit Tight

We went for a weekend with our grandsons. Due to our work schedule we arrived after the gate was locked-not a problem, but they do lock gates fairly early. The road in is quite narrow, and if you happen to meet another RV, someone will need to back up. The campsites are packed it really tight…

Small Park, nice for a weekend

We live nearby and did a shakedown here with our grandsons ages 5 and 8. The camping area has about 20 spots, and some are better than others. Try to get a spot on the outside of the loop, as the spots inside the loop are small and not very private. We were in #9, which was a bit steep at the front…

Great campging at Lake Wateree

1st time here and it was amazing! Nice owners and very helpful. Bathrooms were very clean. The wifi was great. The beach area is super nice to spend a day on the water with your family. Price is a little higher then the state park but so worth it!!

It’s okay…

This campground is more for a temporary place to stay and not a place to hang out. There is a playground and a dog park, but there is no grass near where the RV’s park. It’s mostly gravel. Good for temporary staying.

Nice, Quiet Stay

Lovely little park in a small circle. About 25 campsites with some as full hook-ups. Sites are uneven so make sure you have blocks and not much around the campsite so this is a place to come and just relax. Bathhouse is ok; lake is beautiful for canoe or kayaking; but no swimming.

It’s Convenient

It’s convenient to family in the Charlotte area. The campground has a pool and playground. Publix grocery store next door. Sites are close together and some are way out of level. WiFi poor. A typical KOA.
