Best RV Parks & Resorts near Graniteville, SC

This RV Resort has the largest sites around and also great amenities including pool, 4 pickle ball courts, clubhouse with large meeting room, full gym and very nice bathrooms . Full laundry and playground, dog park and more

Two sites share a common drive and it’s very difficult to get into and out of your site without using the other site’s parking area! At least for a novice to trailer camping. Our site was overrun with sugar ants. They were on and in everything! Pretty lake but I won’t go there again

Nice campground. We stayed in the primitive camping area with our adventure trailer. Right on the water, it was a great site. Ants can be a huge problem though during the summer. 

**N.B. **As of 3 August 2020, Primitive Camping and Semi-Hookup (Electric Only) Camping areas  are closed at Pointes West. RV Camping is open, for local traffic only. RV's must contain a restroom. No visitors.

We spent 4 nights here in December. The park is really well taken care of. There are lots of trails that are really well marked. Lots of park road to ride bikes too. The bathrooms were pristine. There are a ton of waterfront sites (sadly we were not in one). The sites in the 70’s are great. Private and spacious. Site 82 is possibly the best as it has huge views, a beach and a deck. Some site have full hook ups. Some have gray water dumps (so convenient!). Cell service was awesome. The ONLY negative is that it takes quite some time to get to (and you pass about 3 other parks if coming from SC). Also make sure you grab groceries well before arriving as there is nothing close by. All in all, great park (as are almost all in GA)

We stayed here for 6 months and hated to leave. The manager Morgan was so kind and attentive to everyone's needs. There was plenty of room to run for the dogs. Our 50 Amp site was level and spacious. Laundry machines on site and private showers! The bathhouse was very clean! Gravel/dirt pad and roads all well maintained. Wifi was excellent and we could stream Netflix and Hulu. Great Verizon cell service. Wonderful gem of an RV park! The location was quiet and beautiful, surrounded by woods and fields.

The SC State Park system is wonderful. The reservation system is very user friendly and staff is always helpful. I’ve enjoyed each experience I have at the parks, but this is my new favorite campground. Sites are HUGE and very private. Just about every site is lakefront. The majority of the campsites are in a T formation, meaning you have to back in twice. Once to back off the road then again into your site. The downside to this design is that sites on the left side of the T shape, back in with the trailers camp side facing the road, not the lake. But once you’re backed in, it’s so peaceful and private! Many people bring golf carts and bikes due to the size of the campground. If you rely on a bathhouse, I’d call to request a spot close to one. I haven’t seen the bath house yet on any of my walks so this site wouldn’t be good for someone who relies on those facilities. I also recommend watching the Clemson Camper’s review of this campground on YouTube. He bikes through the whole park and films each site. It’s very helpful, especially given the T-shaped formation of the campsites.

I had never visited Lake Greenwood, save for driving by on the way from Augusta to Greenville. So when no other State Park had reservations available for Labor Day weekend, I was hesitant to book here. I will admit, I was mistaken. My in-laws and my parents both pulled their camper trailers, while I pulled my Jayco pop-up. I was very satisfied with the size of the spaces, which were accurate compared to the website. The camp website also accurately informs campers about the grade of campsite driveways, which did become an issue for my parent’s trailer. The sites are generally not much more than an asphalt driveway, and a gravel picnic table/fire ring area. I didn’t see many tent campers in this part of the campground, and I would imagine tent camping would be especially uncomfortable (hot) during the summer months. Electrical hookups are new, and standard, and water hookups are plenty for even the biggest of rigs.

The campground maintains decent tree/shade coverage, especially on the outer sites. The sites near/on the water are also shaded and have the added bonus of the lake breeze, although they are a bit crowded; very close to the sites next door. Speaking of which, perhaps due to the sold-out Labor Day weekend, but most probably because of the design of the campground and lakeside access, foot traffic was heavy between and around my campsite. This was annoying as always, and made me feel like I needed to bring in all of my chairs, etc when I left the site.

There are several bathhouses spread throughout the campground. Each one has two showers, two sinks, and two toilets, though at my closest bathhouse, one of the showers was out of order. The bathhouses were always very clean, and did not have the usual peeling paint and army of bugs and spiders that some bathhouses seem to maintain as a matter of principle.

Nearby Ninety Six NHS was a great half-day attraction, less than 15 mins away. Greenwood City is also a draw. Of course, the gem is Lake Greenwood. I was wishing the entire weekend that I had a boat to enjoy the cool clear water.

Bottom line, I have plans to come back on a less crowded weekend, and definitely with a boat.

This park has a great group camp sites. We have taken are cub scouts and Boy Scout troop here many times. The RV camp ground has too side a larger side which is newer and an older side. The older of the RV camp site is a little Tight but can 1 get a 40ft trailer in with no problem. The new side has Plenty of room for large RV. Bath houses are clean and well Maintain. Staff is great to work with. Bring your fishing rod Plenty of fishing. There is also a great swimming area and playgrounds.

This park has so many positives...clean gravel wooded sites, numerous lakefront sites, new bathhouses, and spacious. Made the mistake of booking a premium full hookup, which was perfect except the lakefront sites (water/electric) would have been exquisite. On my "I will return" list.

This state park has a beautiful natural spring that is home to aquatic turtles, fish and aligators. It has history as a prisoner of war camp for the civil war and you can see some of that natural history as you walk it's many trails. The knowledgeable rangers work hand in hand with the local college and it's students in archeology to uncover more and more of it's secrets. Here you can play on athe playground with its water splashpad, go down the slides, and walk around the stream looking for aligators (don't feed the aligators) There is birdwatching, kicking and canoeing or paddleboats if you prefer on the lake. You can primitive camp, use a tent or RV space with water and power or rent a cabin. The friends of the park and the rangers host many various activities to make your stay a memorable one. Enjoy!

Small campground, but awesome sites. Level and clean concrete pad. Nice picnic table provided. Full hookups and all have a view of the water even if you aren’t right on a water site. Very spacious sites with plenty of room. Bathrooms are clean and tiled. The water saver shower was a little strange at first as I had not seen one like it before. Push button that stays on for like 30 seconds. You have to keep pushing the button, but it wasn’t too bad. Two washer and dryers in front of the bathrooms that are free to use. Plenty of walk area for dog walks. No playground or frills but we personally don’t need those things and really enjoyed this campground.

We chose this for our first trip in 2021. It’s a big grassy area and has full hookups. Nice little store. It is a great place for kids. They have several playgrounds for kids! It’s a bit out there and is 20 or so miles off I77 and the Columbia, SC area. I would say it’s average. I might go back.

I have been here two times. First time with scout troop and then RV camping. The group camping area is Huge and has its own picnic shelters and bath rooms . The Rv sites were clean and well Maintain. The park is beautiful and very large. You feel like you are in A secluded area not like some parks right up on top of each other. Staff is Amazing and very helpful. I definitely will be back.

Mistletoe State Park is just outside of Augusta, GA. It’s on Lake Strom Thurmond, which is good for fishing and boating. The campground was nice, with level sites, and clean showers and bathrooms. When we were there the lake was very low, so the water activity was limited. It is close enough to Augusta for dining and shopping if you need that.

If it weren’t for Hurricane Dorian we would have never found this gem! What a beautiful location. Most sites directly on the lake. We were 10 ft from our own swimming area. The water is clean to fish, swim, boat, kayak, jet ski. You can easily rent a pontoon and jet skis at the nearby Skippers and cruise to a great bar and grill, “break on the lake” for dinner and drinks.  The lake is big enough to explore but small enough not to get lost. The reception is helpful and bathhouses very clean.  You are 20 minutes from the cute town of Greenwood too.  Full hookups available at this state park. Picnic tables and fire rings provided too. Don’t carry your own firewood in due to possible invasive insects.

Campground had some lovely views, some sites with lake access. Water and electrical hookups at most sites. RVs and tents share same area. Bright lights were burned all night, no need in complaining to camp hosts they burned strings of bright LED lights all night too. Large groups allowed, across from our tent there was a party that included 13 children. Generally noisy, lots of traffic moving at all hours. Bathhouses well maintained. Maybe okay for RV but no sleep if using a tent.
