Barnyard RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at Barnyard RV Park in Lexington, South Carolina, where nightly rates run $34 for full hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer connections. The park accommodates rigs up to 85 feet, with large pull-through sites that multiple reviewers describe as level and easy to navigate. Some sites have concrete pads; others are dirt, and campers note that the dirt sites can collect standing water during heavy rain. A dump station is also on-site for those passing through without a full stay.

The campground sits adjacent to a flea market, which shapes the character of the surrounding area. This is an urban stop, not a wooded retreat. Sites are close together, something that state park regulars may find limiting, and WiFi is available though at least one camper found the signal inconsistent. Cell service has come up in reviews without a clear consensus. Shade is limited but present on some sites, and the bathrooms and showers draw consistent praise for cleanliness and water pressure.

Barnwell State Park Campground sits roughly six miles east for campers who want a more natural setting, and Crunchy Acres is another option about 15 miles to the northeast. Barnyard RV Park tends to work best as a base for visiting Columbia or nearby Fort Jackson, and staff have been noted repeatedly as friendly and accommodating. As Joel R. put it, "showers and bathrooms were clean and very nice." Pets are welcome, and the park's location near major highways makes it a practical overnight stop for travelers moving through the region.

Many campers appreciated the level sites, clean facilities, and friendly staff. Some visitors expressed concerns about close site spacing and occasional drainage issues during rain.

No animals at the Barnyard.

This is a nice, clean, open campground and RV park. Sites are big enough for most RVs. Mostly level, Some have cement pads. 30/50 amp, full hookups. Some Shade. Showers and bathrooms were clean and very nice. Good water pressure. My wife in was disappointed there were no animals.

Barnyard

This Campground is well maintained with level pull through sites. No frills like a pool but it's easy access. Congaree National Park Fort Jackson are nearby. Columbia is a neighboring city. They have a large flea market next door.

Relaxing, Peaceful, quaint

I have stayed that this park 3 or 4 times.  I have always been made to feel at home.  It is a park that is located within the city and not out in the country so you must understand its location but for us it is a nice friendly place to stop, rest and have a relaxing time.  I would recommend it if you are coming through Columbia and need a place to stop and just rest.  Not many amenities but makes up for it in its peacefulness.

Snobby vibe

I was a guest of someone who was living in a 5th wheel and we were made to feel very unwanted and we ended up leaving a couple of days after arriving.

Wasn't for us

We are more of a state park kind of campers and these spots were very close together. Great for passing through but you won't see me there again. Internet was spotty at best.
