Very nice campground! It seems as everything has recently been updated! Pool was very nice with splash pad for the kiddos. Pavilion and camp store was brand new. Mini golf was Free yes free and also new. They also had a nice corn hole area. Our site was one of the bigger sites and was easy to back into. Site 181. Would recommend and we will be returning!
This was an awesome campground! There are two sides to the campground with a street that divides the two sides. One is along the River and the other is situated near the camp store, playground and pool. This campground had it all! There was laser tag, playground, jump pillow, pedal carts! There was even something for the parents! They have a wine barn on site with different beverages including wine slushes! Ver well taken care of campground. Our site backed up to the river which they also have tubing as well!
This was a very clean and wooded campground. They have plenty of activities for the kids from swimming, mini golf, and a scavenger hunt! They also had live music one night! They just opened up a new pavilion and the camp store was very well stocked! Sites are also nice with a trex picnic table and a trex gliding love seat! The campground was just minutes from downtown Gettysburg.
This campground is only minutes away from Knobels Amusement Park. The campground itself was clean but not a lot of amenities being it’s part of the amusement park. Very nice camp store and they also had a takeout restaurant that also serves ice cream.
Very nice resort campground. When pulling up to the main building it felt like you where at a tropical resort! The staff is very accommodating and friendly. They have scheduled activities throughout the day for the kids only a few that included a cost. The resort has two pools one specifically for families and the other is split one side kids, and the other is for adults only as there is a swim up bar. The grounds had a tiki bar w music and games at times, an ice cream parlor and a general store with everything you can think of. This campground is on the bay and had its own private beach as well. Definitely one we will be revisiting in the future!
First time camping at the Jersey shore. This campground had it all from a huge pool and unbelievable splash pad to a great swimming pond with a beach! They just completed a new camp store building that has everything you could think of from camping gear to beach chairs and floats! They also have a cafe that also sells ice cream. The food was very reasonably priced and good. We will absolutely be going back to stay at OVR!!
I would start with the good if there happened to be any.
I’ll start with pulling into the campground. First of all you have to find your own site as there are no assigned sites available. This had us pulling our 33ft camper around the whole campground until we came across our site we settled for. Now this brings up the site situation. Very rocky and I don’t mean crushed stone, nope just rocks all over the site. Then come to find out no fire ring was available. So we took all the rocks around our site and made our own. So the rocks ended up coming in hand after all…..
Now for the campground itself. This is a thousand trails campground. The website had a list of amenities from arcade to mini golf, laundry facilities and a camp store to name a few. Yeah none of this was available. The arcade and camp store looked like it had been vacant for years. None of the buildings on the campground were open and it was Memorial Day weekend! You had a year to renovate due to COVID!
This campground wasn’t a campground at all! The only thing available for the kids was a playground! Everything was done online as there wasn’t even a office to visit!
Nice campground with a creek that runs along the backside of the campground! Even though the amusement park wasn’t open yet, kids still had a good time! The grounds are clean and there’s also a small playground and basketball court!
This was a last minute trip to end the season. Only stayed one night and most of the activities were closed due to it being November. Will definitely try this campground again when it’s a bit warmer. Open sites not many with privacy all though they did have a few premium sites with a paver patio with Adirondack chairs, a nice table with four chairs and built in fire pit! This campground is right on a creek with availability to use canoes.
We stayed at this campground during the COVID pandemic so not much was open at the campground. But from the looks of it they have a small mini golf area, nice size basketball court and a good size building for activities. This campground has horse stalls and rings if you would like to bring your own horses. There were a few families that brought their horses and they were right across from our site. Kids loved being able to see them and get close and even pet them!
This campground is minutes from town and is practically on the battlefield.
This was our first campground with our camper. They had pull through sites which I was looking for. Sites were a bit close where we were but they had other sites that were more spread out. Nice pool and great camp store! Unfortunately we weren’t able to do much with the pandemic if full effect. But may be a campground we head back to once everything is back up and running.
Nice campground with great activities for the family. Some include fishing at the pond, swimming pool with amazing slides, and if your into cars a race drag strip down the street.
