"There is an entrance down a rocky driveway to get to the lakes sandy edge which is great to bring chairs down and watch the sunset."
"Our site was right on Lake Erie. There was nothing except a drop of about 25' to the lake. There is lake access for swimming, boat launch and Jetsons etc. It was quiet and simple."

GuideWe needed an overnight with showers. This place is more for long term residents. Not ideal for an overnight. They have golf cart rentals that are more than the overnight site fee. The showers are in desperate need of a cleaning, or a complete knockdown and rebuild. The hose outside felt like it would be more sanitary. She also failed to let us know that to start the shower you needed a quarter. So after we forwent the extra charge of the golf cart and hoofed it over to the showers we wouldn’t have been able to use them anyway! There’s also train tracks close by that blare the horn at all hours and for a longer duration than normal. While checking in I did notice that they have fishing tournaments and other social gathering events. Everyone we ran into was very friendly. If you’re looking for more long term this would be the place for you.
GuideNeeded an overnight and this was perfect! We were right on the water. The few people we saw were really nice and friendly. Good facilities. Would stay here again!
TravelerReally awesome spot. Site was a walk-in site with plenty of room. Fire wood and kindling were at the site waiting for us when we got there. We had a perfect view of the sunset from the site. Sounds from the lake and birds. The site is enough away from the path that you have completely privacy. Really a super cool place to camp.
A couple things… we had two ticks on us relatively soon after getting there but didn’t see any others all night. So be especially careful if you have pets! Also, there was a firefly run that took place in the park starting at 8:45pm. It was a big event with music and tons of people that we could hear from our site…so just check the event schedule before you book if that’s going to bug you!

TravelerI e been a seasonal camper at Kennisee for 5 years. It’s a great place with a lot of events and entertainment for family’s. Multiple fishing ponds , Friday night bingo , bands , fishing tournament for kids, duck race, Christmas in July and many other activities. Many amenities and very clean bathrooms and showers.
LegendNice huge CG with mostly long term residents. Gravel roads and relatively level gravel sites. Good FHUs. A lot of amenities for things to do. Laundry facilities were clean with good machines. We would stay here again.
TravelerStopped through for 1 night with no reservation. Called and the camp host was super helpful and friendly! Got in after dinner and luckily we were just car camping, because we got (in our opinion) the best site there! 23 has a great shot of the lake, nice cinder blocks built up to block any wind from the fire pit. Didn’t use showers, but the bathrooms were well maintained! The lake view was amazing! Very quiet and small location…perfect for what we wanted for the evening. Would highly recommend!
