TravelerWe've stayed here multiple times throughout several summers. The lake is great for fishing with plenty of hiking trails. There's plenty to do in surrounding areas from Ft Ligonier to the shops in the town. Great place to spend the weekend
GuideJust returned from our first weekend here. The new section is open and ready. Water and Electric Only. Dump station on the way out.

We had empty space on either side of us. New section is spaced out with a berm of earth in between alot of the sites.
Road out a decent storm and 2.5 inches of rain in 24 hours. One tree came down close us. Probably no more risky than anywhere else.
New bath house is excellent. Old ones… meh.. they are old.

ScoutVery clean and quiet. The people selling firewood were the best! Site 166 is not flat what so ever. We recommend checking out cucumber falls, which isn’t terribly far away.
ScoutThis is our first stay at this park. We have a wonderful, big electric and water site. Our camper doesn't have a bathroom so we need the bathhouse. There isn't one on every loop, but this one does have a restroom. The restroom and all the bathhouses badly need updating. The paint is peeling, they smell like mildew and the siding is rotting on them. They are clean but the creepy and gross factor are too much. There are also very limited sites that you can have a pet with you. So a nice place but if those two things are important to you just be aware
GuideThe sites are spread out. Electricity at sites but no water or sewer. A new section will be opening later this season that will have elec and water.
ScoutThe campground is entirely in a flood zone. It gets so deep the locals cars have floated away. The weather was forecasted to rain for several days. Our camp area ended up in at least 6inches of rushing creek water (we moved when it was ankle deep). The owner relocated us to a concrete slab next to his house so we were safe and dry. We never should have been allowed to set up camp where we were initially. And it was a giant pain to break down camping stuff to relocate. That being said, the owner was nice. And I’m sure in good weather, this is an amazing spot to camp.
ScoutThey are horrible all they want is money money money and never do any upgrades to Campground. Every holiday buy Saturday afternoon you have no water.and electricity always goes out. Also they read the meters and then charge you triple the actual amount that you would pay the electric compsny.
LegendGeneral: Large campground in four loops with a variety of sites ranging from tent-only, 30-amp electric, 50-amp electric, and 30/50-amp electric, along with eight camper cabins.
Site Quality: All sites are gravel; most appeared level, but some did not. All sites are wooded but some have more separation than others. Our site backed up to the creek but surprisingly, there was not a lot of water flowing in the spring,
Bath/Shower house: Basic and dated, but reasonably clean. Did not use the shower.
Activities/Amenities: Many include fishing, swimming, boating, bicycling, hiking, geocaching, and hunting. The lake is separate from the campground, but it is less than a mile away and a reasonable distance walk. There is also a playground, volleyball, shuffleboard, and a large picnic area at the end of one of the loops. Bike and boat rentals are available in the summer season; the season was set to open the day after we left so aside from hiking, we could not avail ourselves of any of the activities (and my husband had a foot injury so even hiking was out for us). There are also laundry facilities, but I did not check these out.
We were surprised that just a few days before Memorial Day, only a handful of sites were occupied. We’ve been very impressed by the pristine conditions of many Pennsylvania state parks, but this one had a more rustic feel and had not been modernized. Fleeting cell at best on Verizon.
