Comfy, Clean, and Friendly Place

I liked this place.  I stayed here in my RV twice early this summer, going and coming from my Grandson's graduation party in Illinois.  The sites in the lower field, where I was, were roomy and level and all pull-throughs.

However, the rate is NOT $25/night.  Check their website for the correct charge.

No advance payment was required.  You pay when you stay.  I appreciate that in these times when other campgrounds require full payment in advance and don't give refunds.  A little trust and hospitality goes a long way.

Even though I stayed the day after the Memorial Day weekend, the place was very clean and orderly in spite of bulging trash bins.  Kudos to the staff.

Since I travel this route frequently to visit my daughter & family, I will definitely stay again.

Nice family campground

This is a large campground with play grounds, well maintained pool and grounds, fishing, party pavilions, and store. The staff is nice and helpful. It’s very military positive, even includes a reserved place for the fallen soldiers. Some sites are a bit close, the pull through sites are very ample. Gravel roads and level sites. Lots of grass areas for play and walking. I think the weekends would be too full for my taste but mid week was very quiet.

Very Good for an Underway Overnight on I76

Quiet in the camp but lots of highway noise at night if the breeze is just right. Nice pull-thrus with full hookups for overnights. Bring a quarter for a 10 minute shower! There's one 1950's bathhouse with a few stalls for hundreds of RV sites but they figure you're self-contained I suppose. A Kildeer must've had a nest nearby & protested about something many times during the night. Beautiful countryside. Much visible respect for those who have served in the US Armed Forces. Only one guest encountered with Trump hat and one Let's Go B... disrespectful sign. We are of keep-it-simple mindset in a new Ford Transit and were the smallest rig there by far.

Urban retreat.

Although the campground is close to several large cities, it is very relaxed, wooded, and quiet. We weren’t to sure what to expect as we usually camp in much more remote areas, but we enjoyed the park very much. Operator of the park was very pleasant as he passed by our site several times doing maintenance work, being sure to wave and chat. Will definitely be back!

Review for tent campers

Mostly an RV campground, but several tent sites. Each site was very spacious and well shaded. Fire ring and table at each sight. Restroom were a short walk away. Firewood available for purchase. I would stay again.

Great option very near Pittsburgh

This was a lovely camp ground with very nice people. Lots of type of site options. Mix of seasonal and weekend camping. We stayed early in the season so many of the amenities were not open yet. We did watch kids fishing and pulling fish out as soon as they put their line in!! So much fun for them. I don’t know how typical this is on a weekend but on Saturday it was incredibly loud with a site blasting music. Good music for sure but it was probably a 1/4 mile away and I could hear every word and impacted our ability to enjoy the fire and chat. Overall we’d come back.

Family oriented

Wonderful campground. They provide activities almost every evening, making sure everything age range is catered to throughout the week. There's a predictably overpriced store where you can buy since essentials, and a few luxuries.

Most of the primitive sites were graveled at some point in the past, but they've done a good job of fixing that. There's a swimming pool, fishing pond, and boating pond. Spacious shower house. No water sources in the primitive section, and the shower house is quite a hike from the furthest sites.
