Armitage offers visitors a full array of day use amenities including a paved boat ramp, ample trailer parking, volleyball and horseshoe pits, two dog parks (one for larger dogs and the other for smaller dogs, and several rentable large group picnic sites with electricity, cooking facilities, and drinking water.
Its natural amenities include old growth deciduous and evergreen trees. A half-mile, self-guided interpretive trail constructed by the McKenzie Watershed Council winds through undeveloped portions of the park. Armitage is a favorite place to begin or end a boat trip, take a tranquil walk, and for large group picnic gatherings. Armitage also regularly serves as a staging area for emergency search and rescue training operations.
Reservations are accepted both on-line, over the phone and in person. All reservations are charged a $10 reservation processing fee regardless of the modality used to reserve. Rujada Campground is located 21 miles east of Cottage Grove (45 minutes from Eugene) on a riverside terrace above Layng Creek. A favorite site for family picnics and camping, visitors will enjoy shaded campsites with privacy, access to swimming on the banks of Layng Creek and a hike through a rich riparian Douglas fir forest on the Swordfern trail. Check out a historic Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) shelter and a kid's playground with obstacles, swing, teeter- totter and monkey bars both located within the campground.

This beautiful and quiet campground located in the Umpqua National Forest sits at approximately 1,200 feet in elevation among Douglas fir, hardwood trees and ferns.
Rujada Day Use Picnic Area is located within the campground and may be reserved. Nearby are three spectacular waterfall trails. Spirit Falls is a short 0.4 mile, more difficult hike to a 60' waterfall. Moon Falls is an easy, 0.5 mile hike to a 125' cascading waterfall. Pinard Falls is a 0.6 mile, more difficult hike to a 105' waterfall. All three hikes are within 10 miles of the campground and can be done within a single day.

This is a nice, small, well maintained RV park near town. Foster Lake is just across the road and is beautiful with a decent trail along the lake. The road can get very noisy as it’s popular with motorcycles.
We stayed at what is now Cascadia County Park (per signage at the park) at the beginning of September. Monday and Tuesday night there were only a couple of other campers in the park. Needless to say it was very quiet.
Our first day we noticed a man without a shirt sitting, leaning against the bathroom exterior wall for a least an hour or so. Later that day we saw a couple who appeared to be homeless using the shower on the premises. Neither of these people caused any problems nor interacted with any camper as far as I could tell. Near the entrance at the picnic area there is a sign warning visitors to lock their cars.
This is a beautiful park, densely forested, bordered by the Santiam River. We stayed in one of the pull though sites, number 4. It was more private than most sites. We were happy to stay here to escape the smoke in Central Oregon were we live. We had reservations at Little Crater Campground, but choose not to stay there as the there were fires nearby and the area had an Evacuation Advisory - Level one and there is only one way out of the area.
Great place to be. Close enough to a lot of hiking trails, waterfalls and crater lake itself. Structure is good and the staff is super welcoming.

This campground is quiet, has no electricity or showers (fine by me) and is just pristine. The fires didn't touch it, the river is beautiful and it's well-maintained.

This is our second time staying at Armitage. We usually only stay one night as we are passing through Eugene, but it's a fantastic campground and we would love to stay longer sometime. Site 30 was especially lovely. It is a full hook-up site surrounded by shrubs and trees. There is ample space between sites and we could not even see the site on our right. The pads are paved and pretty level, plenty long and wide for our 32ft 5th wheel and truck. Hopefully next time, we can stay longer and actually explore the park.
Bathrooms were close, also water between every two camp sites. Showers were pretty nice. The lake is absolutely amazing! Really was worth money. It also wasn’t to expensive at all.

Really awesome facility. Every site is big-rig friendly and almost perfectly level. Minimum work getting setup. The river is just feet away. Dog friendly. We especially liked the trains that occasionally tooted and roared down the opposite side on the river canyon.
Pretty busy spot - even early on a weekday. I found a pretty pulloff area, but quickly realized it's no good if you rely on cell service, solar and/or starlink due to the tree coverage. Ended up staying for one night. I would recommend if you're looking for somewhere to come and disconnect from the world. Just not over holidays or weekends.

Enjoyed spending a hot day playing in the river and cooling off. Very quiet campground with pretty large sites. Our site overlooked the river.
Spent a week at Bar Run. Golfed every day on the most beautiful and challenging 18 hole course - designed by Dan Hickson. Campground is new with concrete pads. Back-ins have grass, Pull throughs have a turf pad. We stayed in a pull through. The pool is amazing with a lazy river and inner tubes to float on with a large 1-4ft area. Brand new and still under construction. Lifeguards are on duty. Showers are gorgeous. Laundry room has 4 washers and dryers-coin operated. There is a little fitness gym with a treadmill, bike and weights. Access to the Umpqua river-bring your fishing pole.

Clean showers, private, lots of trees, clean site, hiking, swimmable water (3 seconds was freezing but easily adjusted), inner tubing, agate hunting in the river, 9 miles away from Safeway. If you have Verizon, you will likely have WiFi Connect. AT&T had poor connection. Super beautiful site.

Wonderfully quiet campground on Lake Odele. Great pathway with a short walk along the lake to the resort store and restaurant next door.
This campsite is the same as "Hi-Way Haven RV Park". Privicy fence/board between the sites.
Staff was friendly and helpfull. Easy to position the RV on the site. Full hook-up. Condition for your sewer connection is that it has to be on a support. (Available in the shop) Although the campground is not far from the I-5, the traffic noise is hardly heard.
The road getting here either direction is for high clearance vehicles only, but once there it is worth the bouncy ride getting there. Beautiful!
This is a HUGE campground. Every site is gorgeous, lots of forest in between so you have privacy. All of the best spots along the river with a view are first come first serve.
White Creek has 4 Sites and the privacy isn't great but if you show up early on Thursday and pay 40 dollars a night you can usually get the whole place to yourself. White Creek has two beaches, one under a beach. It has a trail that takes you to a cave. Site 1 is real big with a couple tent spots, and a good hammock spot. Site 2 has a couple Tent spots. Site 3 has a couple tent spots. Site 4 has 1 tent spot.
Steamboat Falls Campground has 9 sites. it sits 1 mile off of Steamboat road 1 hour outside of Roseburg Oregon. Site 1 and 2 are on top of each other and should be rented together, which makes it $20 a night but its worth for privacy(To help, 1 has a good view of a water fall). Site 3 is small and on the road. Site 4 is huge and definitely the one you want. It's got room for at least 3 tents and has an amazing view. Site 5 and 6 are good size sites but they don't have much privacy between them, thats another set I usually rent together. Site 7, 8, and 9 have 1 tent pad. There is a day use area with an amazing view, and 2 different trails that takes you to the water.(great swimming and rocks to jump off of) I will add a video tour of the park. One negative to this place is Poison Oak, but there are a few signs on the fences showing you what it looks like.

We arrived and were shocked by the facility. Our site was in the center of this small park and we were surrounded by full time residents. No privacy and we felt like fish in a fish bowl. We left almost immediately and were fortunate to find an opening at Armitage. I would rather stay in a Walmart lot then this place.
We have a 38 foot rv. We got stuck in a ditch. Rv almost tipped over trying to u turn… if you go down the main lower path you will find a area big enough to u turn! Dont do it until then! Other wise a wonderful time. So many many many bugs though at the area we stayed ar
