Great direct view of Mt Thielsen

Very primitive campground with a boat launch to the lake. This campground is tucked into the east side shadows of Mt Bailey. There is a 12 mile bike trail that circles the lake for an amazing ride. The trout fishing is some of the best in Oregon. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. Not a lot of extra parking.

Walking Distance to the beach

Nice state campground with some full RV hookups. We prefer loop C. There is a man made burm that keeps some wind from coming into the campground. You can walk to the beach and see sunsets and hang gliders coming off the mountain. Lots of hiking. Whiskey creek fish hatchery is nearby and kids will love feeding the lunkers in the pond. Jacobsen salt company is also close by.

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!

Directly across from Cape Kiwanda beach and the Pelican Brewery. The RV park has full hookups with 30 and 50 amps, fire pits, picnic tables and a play area. It is gated. All spaces are gravel and not so level. If you stay in their Airstreams - those sites are deluxe. They have outdoor showers, lawn areas with fire pits and decks. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You can also request a bicycle and they will bring it to you to ride around town.

Half way between Portland and Seattle

We stayed here 2 years in a row for the Seattle to Portland bicycle ride. Nice and clean with great showers. Staff very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to set up a small tent at our RV site for extra sleeping quarters. Nice store with all necessities. Judy’s Country Kitchen located at the entrance has great food. The breakfasts were amazing.

Beautiful RV Park

Nice spaces with pavement and full hookups. Catch and release fishing at the on-site pond for trout the size of steelhead. Each space has a nice green lawn and fire ring. Facilities also include a store, pool, and hot tub. Would definitely get reservations as there is always something going on in nearby Sisters and next door to the Sisters Rodeo.

Great Find near Leavenworth

Very nice well kept RV Park near the Bavarian town of Leavenworth. They have a well stocked store on site with laundry. Take in one of several musicals that play throughout the summer. Make sure and see and hear the alpenhorn played daily at noon in downtown Leavenworth.

Secluded Park in the trees

Some sites are privately owned. Sites are very good size with full hookups. Nice office with friendly hosts. This park is right off the scenic McKenzie highway. About a mile from Tokatee Golf Club (rated as one of the “Best Courses in Oregon”). We made the drive up the old McKenzie cut off road to the Dee Wright observatory at the summit. It is located right in the middle of an old lava flow. This drive is not for the faint of heart.

On the Oceanside of Highway 101

We have stayed here several times over the years. The beach is a short walk as well as the downtown area of Gold Beach. Gold Beach is located at the mouth of the famous Rogue River with world class salmon fishing. Our last visit showed the park with signs of the coastal elements tearing away at it’s soul. The sunsets are as beautiful as ever

Great views of the Bridge and the bay

Beautiful location with amazing views of sunsets and the bridge. Rogue brewery and distillery is a short walk from the park. The park itself has started to deteriorate. The grass is in need of reseeding and is very sparse and hasn’t had any attention in quite some time. Staff are helpful and friendly. Have also stayed in the overflow area for overnight stays several times. It’s safe and patrolled. You can use you generator.

RV Park in the middle of a working ranch

You drive down a gravel road right through a 6,000 acre working cattle ranch. There are 40 pull through RV sites with electric, water, and some sites have sewer. There is a dump station. We were there during a Blue moon with no light pollution and it felt like you could grab it out of the sky. Was quite an unexpected find.

Close to Eugene and sporting events

Minutes from the U of O. Great place to stay when going to sporting events. 20 to 30 minutes away from great wineries. It’s all paved including sites. Full hookups with mostly back in sites. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Our favorite place on the Oregon Coast

We have been coming here for over 20 years. We love walking across the road to the Pelican Brewery and watching the dories being launched and coming in for the day. The Sunsets are absolutely beautiful with the big haystack rock in the background. The campground has wild bunnies running through the park. The park has a playground, pool access, and a market with fresh sea food.

Nice and clean and right of I-5

Right off I-5 and next to the Jackson County Expo. Sites are level with grass and fire pits. There is a walking bike trail that goes along Bear Creek to Ashland. I biked this but wouldn’t recommend it for safety reasons. The unhoused have to many encampments along and on the trail. This RV Park is really nice and friendly.

Great Lake for Trout Fishing

Nice sites set in giant fir trees with full hookups. Sites have concrete with gravel and walking distance to the lake and south shore Pizza Parlor. Boat ramp is within a few minutes drive. When the bites on the fishing is amazing. Have never been skunked on this lake. From mid August on the bugs are few. There is a 12 mile walking/bike path around the lake that is beautiful.

Right on the Metolius River

Smiling River campground is right on the Metolius River. There is a walking/fishing trail that runs along most of the river. The trail is walkable to the Camp Sherman Store. The road going through the campground is narrow for tow vehicles but if you go slow you will be fine. Sites have picnic table and fire pit with no water or electric hookups. Make sure and visit Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery that is north of the campground on the Metolius River. It is one of our favorites. We had no Verizon cell coverage.

Beautiful Park

Nice paved sites with full hookups and a beautiful river setting. Bike into Westfir, sit by the pool, or throw out a line for fishing. This is a great place for relaxation.

On the Umpqua and in Elkton

Nice little RV park on the Umpqua river that’s within walking distance to Elkton. Park has friendly hosts. Many sites back up to the river and all site have power, water, and sewer hook ups.

First to Review
Right on the Umpqua River

Friendly and helpful hosts. They supply fire wood to burn. Large gazebo for gatherings and barbecues provided. Park has a nice boat ramp. Nice place to sit and relax or fish on the beautiful Umpqua river.

Hidden Gem on the McKenzie River

We have been coming here for years and it never gets old. Sites 1 through 8 are our favorite spots because they are right on the water (even though they only have water and power). The pools are relaxing after a day of hiking and exploring the secret garden. They seem to get in their own way with their lack of customer service-not the friendliest.

Good location to downtown Portland

Stayed here many times and it is all about the location. Office staff are always very helpful. Starting to get more full time residents.
