RV campgrounds near Negley accommodate a range of motorhome styles, from small trailers to larger units. Chestnut Ridge Park and Campground provides 115 sites with electric, water, and sewer hookups, operating from May through October. Austin Lake RV Park offers pull-through spaces with 30/50-amp service and full hookups, while several sites at Raccoon Creek State Park Campground include water and electric connections, though some RV spots may present leveling challenges. Bear Run Campground features 300 mostly level gravel sites, including pull-through options for larger rigs. "Many many unlevel spots in nonelectric sites. Only one playground in full hookup RV area, hard to get to," noted one camper regarding Raccoon Creek.

Several access considerations affect RV travel in this region. The approach to Austin Lake requires careful navigation on steep roads. One reviewer advised, "Take your time and all will be just fine. Our rig is 39' & 16K. 4wd low helps, not cause you need 4wd just for the lower gears." Most parks provide dump stations and trash service, though water fill capabilities vary significantly between locations. Cell service fluctuates throughout the area, with Austin Lake noted for having no signal regardless of carrier. Electric hookup availability ranges from 30-amp to 50-amp service, with some parks offering both options. Pets are permitted at most locations, though designated pet-friendly sites may be limited at certain parks. Seasonal closure affects several campgrounds, with many shutting down between late October and early May.

      Lil John's Campground

Simple site with hookups. For the price, I didn't expect much. The hosts were friendly and got me in last minute despite coming in their last weekend of the year. It's about an hour from Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Sadly didnt get more pictures from the campground, aside from a frosty picnic table.

Hidden Hollow Campground — Fernwood State Forest

There’s no electricity and no where in walking distance and the internet isn’t great, and at night u hear raccoons in the trash cans. If you come here bring a portable phone charger. There’s really nothing here, and the bathrooms are disgusting

      Absolutely amazing experience!

We just bought our first RV and couldn’t ask for a better first time experience!!! Lori and Fred were absolutely awesome. Great clean facilities and pool. Lots of new upgrades and updates. Gorgeous creek and pond and an absolutely amazing set of neighbors! I loved it there and will absolutely be going back!

      Raccoon Creek State Park Campground

      beautifull park BUT!!!!

The park is beautiful, unlevel shade sites; is challenging to get the trailer level.  unfortunately, the bathhouses are neglected, dark and full of mildew inside the showers.  The park really needs to upgrade the bathhouses. The park itself is very nice and offers a lot of opportunities for outdoor exploration and hiking.

      Cherokee Park Camground

      Pretty area

This park is off the beaten path and filled mostly with Full Timers in beautiful landscaped sites. But room for overnighters like us. All sites have electric and water. The laundry is small, only 1 working washer, but it came in handy. The bathrooms have free showers but could use a deep cleaning. Big open field for the dog to play

      Crawford's Camping Park

      Nice little campground.

This is more a campground for RVs then tents or even roof top tents. Place is clean and the sites 90% of them are in the open. Very little shade. Travis runs the place and very nice and accommodating. Fire wood is 20 dollars for a massive amount.

      West Branch State Park Campground

Great overnight close to Ohio Turnpike

We were passing through on a weeknight in mid September. Many open sites. Sites are paved and many are sloped. Most are shaded. Our site #41 was fairly level with electricity. Close to huge bathhouse with flush toilets, showers and laundry. High above the lake with views through the trees. Appeared there were many long term campers but just as good for our short overnight stay. Online registration. $45 for electric only site.

White Thorn Lodge - Family Nudist Campground

      Very Nice Visit

Spent three nights there in August Mid-week.  Was pretty quiet but was clean and nicely taken care  of.  No mosquitos or bugs at night.  Nice walking paths.  Pool, hot tub, outdoor showers all very nice.

      Bear Run Campground

      Nice family campground

We love camping here. There are a few things to do, swim in the pool, mine for gem stones, they have an arcade and a playground. It’s in a wooded area near lake Arthur with a boat ramp down the Road.

    Guide to Negley

Several RV parks surround the Negley area offering electric hookups and suitable parking configurations for motorhomes and travel trailers. Chestnut Ridge Park and Campground provides 115 sites with electric, sewer and water hookups for RVs between May 1 and October 1. The campground features level gravel sites with spacious grassy areas between parking pads. Austin Lake RV Park, open May through October, accommodates larger recreational vehicles with both 30 and 50-amp electrical service on their pull-through sites. RV Village Camping Resort in Mercer supplies full hookup RV sites with 50-amp service during their April to October season. "Level gravel sites with really great grassy areas. We stayed memorial weekend and it was quiet by 9 every night."

Most RV campgrounds in this region require advance reservations, particularly during summer weekends and fall foliage season. Roads leading to certain facilities present navigation challenges, with Austin Lake notably requiring careful driving on steep approach roads. As one camper noted, "The road dead-ends into the campground and it is all downhill getting there. Take your time and all will be just fine. Our rig is 39' & 16K." Sanitary dump stations are available at Chestnut Ridge, RV Village, and Bear Run Campground. Cell service varies significantly across campgrounds, with Austin Lake having virtually no reception regardless of carrier. Most parks permit pets on leash and sell firewood on-site. Many RV sites in Raccoon Creek State Park have uneven terrain, requiring blocks for proper leveling.
