This is a RV resort close to a lake with a lot of seasonal campers. It is busy on the weekend but was very quiet during the week. The sites are close, but not unreasonably close. Good mix of pull through and back in and is big rig friendly. Plenty to do for the kids. Pool looks nice, was not open yet for the season.
Alum Creek Park is a big campground with a lot of RV hookups with fire rings at each spot. There are showers/bathrooms scattered throughout. Great place to take a ski boat and go boarding, skiing or tubing.
Amazing views of the water and surrounding wooded areas. Good place to fish for bluegill and catfish. Awesome place to swim during daytime hours, just remember to us caution and don’t go out of designated area. Nice trails for hiking or taking a cruise on your bike. Spend the night at the camper cabin or if you have an RV hookup to one of the electric sites and enjoy the sunset. Wonderful place for the kiddos to learn about the great outdoors while enjoying some family time.
Lots of full-time residents, great private campground. It’s an RV resort, so sites are right next to each other, but the grounds and facilities are clean and well-kept. The pool is really nice. They also have a playground for the kids. They also have themed-event weekends, which are really fun! It’s on the pricey side, but worth it in my opinion.
Good campground. Not great. No pool or activities. Only 3 full hook up sites. Sites are really close together as well
The price advertised on The Dyrt is incorrect. It is not $38.50/day. We paid $50.29 with full hook ups. Very clean, staff very nice, but guests are not allowed without registering at the office. Many seasonal/full time residents which made for quite a bit of early morning traffic. Beautiful fishing pond with well groomed trails. Dogs are allowed off leash on the trails. Staff very pet friendly and courteous. Well appointed camp store. Water pressure excellent. Electric well within standard. Gravel pads, our site was off 2”.
This is our first trip to Rocky Fork State Park. We are impressed with the campground amenities and spacious camp sites. Over 40 full hook up sites! Will definitely be returning.
great state park campground. There are some full hook ups but mostly just electric. They have pancake breakfast on Saturday mornings through summer and doughnuts on Sunday. Helpful camphost. There is a campground beach and boat launch. Lost of hiking paths in the campground and in the park area. A great dog park with lake entrance for the pups. tmThere is also some mountain bike trails. Plenty to do for everyone.
Very nice state campground with full hook-up sites. Very spacious, double-wide sites. Lots of grass and trees for an enjoyable setting. No wi-fi takes away a bit from the experience, but fine for off-the-grid setting. Nice hiking trails.
This is a very nice campground. Nice lake, boating, playgrounds, bath houses, some full hook up sites. There are more good sites than bad. 4,5,9,10, 147-165 those were my favorites. Small town with stores and restaurants was only 8 min away.
Lots of room! Privacy, some sites have accommodations for several tents as well as full hook up for campers. Some are adjacent to the playground There are tons of things to do: Miniature golf Disc golf BMX trails Small dog park Golf course Horse camp
An older but updated Ohio State Park. Ran by a great volunteer staff! Nice canoe and kayaking lake, no motor lake. Fishing is good off shore or boat. Had a Bat house building event when we were there. Updated restrooms and shower house. Lots of shaded sites both 30 and 50 amps, no full hook ups, but easy to get too dump and water source for filling tank.
We have been camping at Indian lake since I was a chIld, now we our kids there. Roomy sites, plenty of shade. Not a lot of privacy. There is a sand beach for swimming (even a separate doggy beach!) or a new in-ground pool. Primitive to full hook-up sites available as well as “boat-camping” sites.
This was the first stay of my full time RV life. I’m glad I started here. It’s nice and quiet. People seem to be very friendly. I use Starlink and T-mobile 5G. The T-Mobile seems to be working best here. The cell booster I have made it go from “good” to “excellent”. I was able to get a full hook up site which I wasn’t expecting. My hot water tank went out and I had to use the bath house and it got the job done. It was clean, which I appreciated. There are a lot of seasonal campers here that have permanent spots. There is plenty of hiking close by and either Dayton to the north or Cincinnati to the south for plenty of things to do.
...the two things that bring me back to this campground year after year. We have never had a “bad” campsite at the Alum Creek State Park Campground. Each camping space is separated by trees and brush. And there is plenty of room! An added bonus is the addition of several full hook up sites! While the beach inside the campground is small, the main beach for Alum Creek State Park is just a short drive away. One of our favorites!
Overall, good place to stay if you are looking for an RV park with amenities in this area. Clean and pretty well maintained park. We don’t use all the extra amenities like pool etc, but there seemed to be a lot to choose from for kids. Small dog park. Normal size lots for an RV park. Super crowded on a summer weekend. All size rvs and also tent campers. Easy to find.
My wife and I spent Labor Day weekend here as it was close to Columbus and allowed family to come spend a night or two.
We appreciated the full hook-ups and pull through site. The staff came through every morning to pick up the trash. But, the water hook ups were accessible through a hole/pipe and we had to “fish” down to connect our hose.
The people here were really nice. And they had quite a big staff to take care of the place, life guard, and run the children’s events like Tye-dye, archery, etc. if you have kids, the pool and the lake activities will keep them busy all day and give them a great opportunity wear themselves out for a good night sleep.
The Wi-Fi was good but not free and was worth the $2/day to do some late night binge watching.
Overall, the park buildings and roads could use some repair/updates and there are a number of seasonal/year round rentals that could benefit from some repair and attention. The park is a nice getaway and the people and families we met were outstanding.
We’d come here again.
Autumn is the best time to camp in Ohio. Lots of small bathrooms. Lake access. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was due to the fact there was no quick reentry. Had to wait for rvs in front of me to register.
We found this campground on the Dyrt app. No one from campground ever retuned my calls. I called the Expo center and a lady answered all of my questions. Over 300 sites, first come basis. Full hookups. Park on grass site, level. We like this kind of basic camping as we have a motorhome and use our own facilities. We would definitely stay again. Confusing to find. Our RV GPS no help, but Google maps on phone brought us right here. On Expo property but no signage for campground.
Overall the RV park was pretty nice. When we went it wasn't too crowded and there was plenty of open plots. Each plot is a gravel plot, so it may be difficult to park when rainy. There were also some big pot holes in some plots, so be weary about that. Sewage, water, and electrical were all easily accessible. The only odd feature was the placement of the sewage. If you're not careful you can easily park your RV on top of the drain, so keep an eye out for it.
Very nice field rv camping. Well maintained and clean. The staff were very pleasant and curious and very helpful. I am pulling a 33 foot trailor and it was easy to park with 30 amp electric and water hookup
This campground has a lot to offer with electric and water hookups for RVs with back-in and pull through sites. They have a dump station as well as an onsite bathroom/shower house. The owners are very friendly. I highly recommend.
We went camping in June during the strawberry Moon. We are tent campers, we booked site 185. But once we got there we discovered that the site was slopped down from the pad and not a great place to tent camp. So, we had to find another site. They were booked so we had to cut our vacation short because the only site open for us was reserved for the following weekend. Bummer! There are not alot of spaces for us tent campers no matter where we go. We have to at the least have electric hook ups cause my better half has a CPap he has to sleep wearing. They did have a few premative sites for tent campers. Camp is very well maintained and they are having some construction done on many sites to make them bigger, full hook ups and even Handicap accessable. Great place to ride a bike, or hike or just go for a walk. The shower houses and restrooms were recently redone and in great shape! Though the shower heads could use a changing. Weekends were a bit crowded, but by sunday night the place was cleared out and the rest of the week was quiet and relaxed. Over all a great week. Friendly and helpful staff too. the only issue I had was the state of the Beach, trashed(People there didn't seem to care about throwing their trash around. Shame on them! Also, the sand was so compacted it felt like concrete. Not the best beach. Fishing, well. It seems we didn't have the low down on good fishing spots. All of the public fishing spots were of course taken and along the dam so not great. Lodge is beautiful, and they are doing some construction there. I did not like the food. Guess I am too picky, but when my salad comes out warm and my chicken is cold I do have an issue with that. Didn't seem like they were taking food safety too seriously.
We were just passing through for a night, but this was a beautiful, and friendly spot to stay for the night.
Most of the sites are electric hookup only, some are electric and water, but we got a full hookup site, which was what we were hoping for. The bathhouse was clean, and well lit.
The sunset last night was simply fabulous.
They are also an rv service center, and have a shop with parts, if you need them.
Stopped to visit family in Cincy for a couple days. We had no idea how cute and historic Lebanon was! The park staff were great and we were able to top off our propane. Level sites, decent sized sites for a KOA. It was the off season so, we didn't really have neighbors. But, still had a site escort.
Nice large campground with plenty of sites. We stayed in B9. A full hookup site with a pretty level pad. Nice flat site with a nice fire ring and lots of mature trees. Lots of new full hookup sites have been added to the B loop recently. We've also stayed in the E loop. Nice large open sites, not as private as B loop.
Site 9, non-electric on Halloween weekend was great. We were one of two campers on our circle. Site 9 has a pretty level pad and has the biggest area to camp in. We are across from the dump station and the flush toilets. Not horrible, but e bathroom does have a light so it could bother some people. Most sites in non-electric have some sort of shade but not all spaces are created equal. Some sites are small and the pads can be unlevel . The electric sites are the same where some have shade and some do not while some pads are level and some are not. There are vault toilets closest to those sites and no full hookups. They have a nice playground and plenty of trail to hike. The trees were past peak leaf season but still very pretty. The camp hosts make it a point to stop out and say hello which is one of the reasons we keep coming back. It’s a tiny park, a diamond in the rough.
