Winton Woods Campground, located about 20 minutes from Blue Ash, offers 123 RV sites including 50-amp full hookup options with paved pads and patios. The campground features both back-in and pull-through sites, with 12 dedicated pull-through spaces that accommodate larger rigs. Nearby, Tucker's Landing provides electric, water, and sewer hookups for RVs, though it isn't designated as big-rig friendly. Hidden Valley Mobile Home Park in Cincinnati includes big-rig friendly sites with electric hookups, 50-amp service, and sewer connections, situated just north of Blue Ash. Camp Cedar, positioned northeast of Blue Ash, supplies big-rig friendly sites with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. "The pull thru RV sites were level and had enough room for our tow vehicle," noted one visitor about the region's campgrounds.

Most RV parks in the area maintain dump stations, though weekend departures can create lines at some locations. Cell service varies significantly between campgrounds, with Winton Woods offering good 4G Verizon reception while East Fork State Park struggles with limited connectivity. Seasonal availability differs across the region - Thousand Trails Wilmington operates from April 17 to October 30, while Follow The River RV Resort and Winton Woods remain open year-round. Northern Kentucky RV Park runs from March 1 to November 1 with 80 sites featuring 30/50-amp hookups. Many campgrounds require reservations, particularly during summer weekends and fall foliage season. Pet-friendly policies are standard throughout the area's RV parks, though specific restrictions may apply. Several campgrounds offer on-site propane refills and firewood delivery for extended stays.

Mounds State Recreation Area Campground — Brookville Lake

This is a nice little campground. There is a lot of space between campers, and the spots are asphalt and somewhat level. It didn’t feel crowded at all. There are plenty of good hiking trails around and it’s fun to go look at the dam. Highly recommend going to the overlook at sunset!

      East Fork State Park Campground

A large campground spread out over multiple loops. Roads and campsites are paved. Our site #416 was spacious and secluded at the end of a dead end road. The bathhouse was a short hike away and in good condition.

      Lebanon-Cincinnati NE KOA

      Friendly and quiet

There are a lot of people here, but even during the day we hardly hear any loud noises coming from any of the other campers. Walking the property (as much as I can with my cane) everyone is so friendly. The grounds are kept very clean. The people from the office actually do garbage pick-up anytime during office hours! Just place your trash bag/ other items to be thrown away at the front of your site and they take it away. They even have recycling, but you have to take that up yourself. They won't just tell you where it is, they will show you. I haven't been to a KOA site in 15 years and the one I went to was not a great experience, but I highly recommend staying here if you're passing through Cincinnati.

      Rocky Fork State Park Campground

Been coming here since I was a kid.

Always great time here. The upper part has more wooden areas then the lower part. But those spot are close to the lake. They a great playground. They have a big camp store with a putt putt, big lake we’re boating, fishing and kayaking. Multiple shower houses very clean kept up. Nice campground to ride bikes around.

    What to Do

    What Campers Like

Clean facilities: Winton Woods Campground Hamilton County Park receives consistent praise for maintenance. "Campground was super clean and quiet. Bathhouses were very clean. Entrance was gated. Nice campstore," writes Jeremy K. about this accessible option near Blue Ash.

Heated pool amenities: Thousand Trails Wilmington offers all-season swimming options. "The staff were friendly and the pool is heated! My family and I had a good time at Wilmington. It is close enough to Kings Island that we made a trip over," explains Ryan H., highlighting this amenity 45 minutes from Blue Ash.

Lakefront sites: A.J. Jolly Park Campground features waterfront camping options. "Close to Cincinnati but each site is wooded and on lake front, lots to do!" remarks Anna N., noting the balance of natural setting with urban proximity.

    What You Should Know

Train noise considerations: Northern Kentucky RV Park (formerly Rose Garden Campground) has highway and railway proximity. "We spent one of three nights booked here and left. Seasonal closures: Regional campgrounds have varied operating calendars. Thousand Trails Wilmington operates from April 17 to October 30, while Northern Kentucky RV Park runs from March 1 to November 1, offering 80 sites with hookups.

    Tips from RVers

Site selection strategy: Tucker's Landing provides concrete pads for easier setup. "This camp ground was clean, new and level. Great river views. Sites close together with lots of permanents," mentions Marie B., noting the campground charges extra for electrical usage.

Urban convenience: Winton Woods offers prime location for city access. "Stayed here a night to go to the Reds game. Easy in and out. Nice sites. Confirmed it all over email. Ubered into the city and back," shares Jennifer H., describing the campground's accessibility for urban activities.
