Sunbury/Columbus North KOA Holiday

Sunbury/Columbus North KOA Holiday operates on 63 acres of mixed terrain in central Ohio, accommodating RVs up to 63 feet with full hookups and seasonal camping from May through November. The campground sits adjacent to soybean fields in a suburban setting, providing space between sites that several campers note in reviews. Gravel roads connect most areas except the main paved entrance.

The facility features multiple playgrounds, three ponds with waterfowl, and wooded sites toward the back of the property that offer more privacy but require longer walks to central amenities. Gary G. found it "quite peaceful" during weekday stays, though notes some sites require leveling blocks. The laundry facility houses newer machines at $2 for washing and $1 for drying.

Staff maintain high visibility throughout the grounds, and the WiFi network uses multiple repeater towers for coverage across the property. Reviews consistently mention cleanliness standards in restrooms, which include hand dryers and baby changing stations. Some sewer connections lack interior threading, potentially requiring adapters or weights for secure hookup.

The location provides access to Columbus attractions within 15-20 minutes while maintaining separation from urban noise. For campers exploring central Ohio, campgrounds around Centerburg offer additional options in the region.

Good value for the money

Been pretty peaceful Tues/Weds. The only real noise has been them power washing the now closed pool for the season. But I guess they have to do maintenance when they have to do it.

Bathroom's nice. Even have hand dryers in most of them. And baby changers. Didn't see any sewer pipes that had threads on the inside, so you may need a donut or at least a weight to hold your elbow into the sewer. Lots for the kids to do here. Multiple playgrounds. At least three ponds all fairly nice with ducks and geese hanging around. There's a few sites are unlevel so you may need to use your levelers and maybe some blocks, we did. Areas in the back woods are quite nice and very treed. Quite private but a long walk to the "town" which is where most of the activities are.

All roads are gravel except the main access road which is paved asphalt.

Laundry room was quite nice with very new machines. It looked like it was two bucks to wash and $1 to dry.

Wi-Fi ( 2.4 and 5G) seems good throughout the entire park. Best Wi-Fi I've ever had at a campground. They have Wi-Fi repeater towers everywhere you look. T-Mobile signal was good, got plenty of TV channels out of Columbus.

awesome for kids, quiet for adults

This is a hugely spaced out camp with ample space to each site and great amenities for kids & dogs.  Immaculate and well run.  Late check in was easy, requests were honored.

RV/Cabin campground

Great, family friendly campground. Clean, organized campground, with TONS of amenities and activities. super friendly, knowledgable staff. The campground is tucked away in a suburb of Columbus next to a soybean field, very quiet area. Only a 15-20 minute drive into town to go shopping if need be. Can not wait to start planning our next family vacation here.

Great Campground!!

Very well kept campground with TONS of staff always circulating around and eager to help with anything you need. Kids aged 3-13 all had a blast in the heated pool, on the jump pad and on the zip line swing! On site store had a good amount of stuff for a fairly decent price and they had so many activities through the whole Christmas in July weekend, including seeing Santa! Even though we were there on a rainy/70-80 degree weekend, we still struggled to keep the kids at our site as they were constantly out and about having fun with everything offered at this amazing campground! There was a large amount of space available at each campsite so we never felt like we were on top of our neighbors and had some privacy. We will most definitely be returning and already look forward to our next trip there!

must see

we are fairly new to the camping scene but I have to say this campground was clean, mowed and overall very well maintained. They have a small workout room which was small but still just enough to get a good pump. The staff was equally amazing. The pool and splash pad were well kept and very clean.
