    Nice spot

Tent camped here in April while mountain biking at Tsali. Campground at Tsali had not opened and this was a great plan B. Camped along the creek, all the spots had a fire pit and table. Bath house was clean and in good shape. There is also a separate section with RV hook ups and small cabins / huts for rent. Helpful and friendly host, also have a good selection of basic sundries in the office. And free WiFi near the office. Would stay here again for sure.

    Sweetwater KOA

    Awesome Holiday Campground

This is a very lively, well traveled RV Park and Campground. Sweetwater is a Holiday KOA meaning it’s has more amenities than their Journey parks (meant for traveling through).

The park has quite a few large sites for big rigs that are about 80-100ft long. The maximum rig size is 60ft. Some sites are paved, most are gravel. There are two sites that are very long with amazing decks.

The park offers full hook up RV Sites, Cabins, Tent sites. For amenities there is a bouncy blob (dry), small pond with fountain and memorial bench, large playground for the kids, volleyball, basketball, I’m not sure what the game is next to the blob. They have two dog parks, one for tiny pups and one for larger pups. There is a nice pavillion near the pond with a large fire pit. They have trash bins distributed throughout the park making trash disposal convenient.

This park goes all out for the holidays. We are a month out from Halloween and they have done a spectacular job with decorating. They have lots of kids events. On Saturday there is a train that takes kids and adults on a ride around the park.

Everyone who works here has been super friendly and helpful. They really seem to go above and beyond making sure everyone has a great stay.

Cellular signals for AT&T and TMobile we’re both pretty good. We were able to stream and work. There were a couple of brief moments that getting signal was a challenge, but overall it was easy to work.

    Foxfire of Murphy RV Park

Great location, beautiful views, and super nice park!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Foxfire of Murphy RV Park for our second visit, and it continues to exceed all expectations. The breathtaking views, serene atmosphere, and the pride the owners take in maintaining this gem make it a standout choice. Conveniently located in Murphy, NC, it's also close to TN and GA. The spacious full hookup sites provided plenty of room for our travel trailer plus two vehicles, and the reliable WiFi ensures you stay connected. The dedicated dog area and well-kept walking trails make it a haven for both two and four-legged guests. Impeccably clean bathrooms and laundry facilities add to the overall comfort. Foxfire of Murphy RV Park is a true haven for RV enthusiasts seeking a peaceful and charming getaway. We will definitely be back and have already referred several of our friends too!

    Lotterdale Cove Campground

    Decent site

No sewer hook-ups and alcohol is not allowed on the grounds. Supposed to have a 14 day maximum stay but walking around you can tell there are plenty of long-term parkers. The road in is rough with potholes and the transition from blacktop to cement at the gate is a huge jarring transition. Probably a 3 inch difference. Not exactly what I want to hit on the way to my site.

    Great RV Resort Franklin N.C

We are new to the RV life style. We traveled to Franklin N.C. A couple weeks ago and stayed at Grear Outdoors RV Resort. We were greeted by gracious hosts who were also the owners. Polly was great explaining the rules and amenities to us. Mike arrived and escorted us to our site and helped us me park. The park was very well organized and maintained as Mike continues to work throughout our entire visit. Questions and concerns were answered immediately. This was our first visit but not our last. 5 Stars!!

    Sleep by a babbling brooke

This is a quiet, friendly place to stay. 80 percent of the campground is long term campers. The owners are amazing. Our only “issue” was the smell of the water in the showers, rotten egg sulfur smell. The trout pond is well stocked and tasted great. We will definitely come back again to unplug from the world.

    Very nice but small campground

We enjoyed our stay at Creekside. The campground is paved and sites are level. They only have a few sites large enough to handle 38' rigs. They also have a limited number of full hook up sites. It is very close to Helen Ga and convenient to all of the adventures. The park is however for adults only.

    Nice but....

This is a campground with lots of trees and water front lots but seems like the prime areas are filled with long term campers, so much for the 14 day limit, no openings for the weekenders near the beach area and only a couple of waterfront sites are available. The road is rutted and potholes thru out and our neighbors ran their generator all night, very loud considering I was in a tent. I’ll probably stay again but not my top choice.

Campground has cool restaurant & bar

The campground offers cabins and the cabin was pretty nice. It slept ten people. However, there is only one bathroom in the cabin. The toilet wasn’t working well. Aside from that the cabin was nice and fully stocked. It had a front porch with rocking chairs and a swing. It also came with a grill and fire ring. We had a group there for the white water rafting. We could walk down from the cabin to check-in for white water rafting excursion. There is a campground store at the check-in, as well. Then, there is also a super cool bar & grill in the campground. The Bus Bar offered live music on the weekends which was a ton of fun. We could walk back to the cabin after a few drinks. They also offer tent camping and RV hookups. The white water rafting trip was a blast.

    So much fun!!

This place is pretty awesome. Its been around so long my husband came here as a child. This place has multiple types of sites, full hook up (including sewer), partial hook up, as well as cabins and permanent RVs to rent. There are multiple bathrooms, and dump sites, access to the river, and a craft cabin where they have really fun crafts such as tie dye and wreath making. In the morning, a beautiful fog sits over the trees and gives a mystic appearance. We had a lot of fun. A lot of people who go hear have kids and they run free. My son made so many friends.

    The Road Less Traveled

    Road I won’t travel again

Let me start with the good. We had a beautiful view from across the very busy highway of some mountains. Campsites 25 and 26 were under some nice big oaks. The rest of the sites appear to be long term residents or under construction. Bad stuff please check out the numerous rules and if you have kids i would not recommend. We got reprimanded for the 6 yr old hanging on the teeter-ball. Which we know is not how its used but kids will be kids. Kinda felt like we were being watched for infractions 24/7. The electric was not working on our site but luckily we had a long extension cord to pull from a vacate site. Sure we broke the rules there :( Dump station was sloping in the wrong direction so not getting clean tank

Overall we didn’t feel very welcome there and probably will not return

We spent Memorial Day weekend here. we had a pull through site on the pond. Sites are VERY close together, all gravel with no grass between rigs. Full hook-ups. Cable and not very good WiFi. Worth the trip

Even though this trip was riddled with rain, it was still a great trip. We stayed in campsite 12 at the tent and trailer camping #1. Our site was very spacious; plenty of room for our trailer and setup; mostly level. We walked other camp grounds in the park and most of those sites were equally spacious and mostly level.

The park has plenty of things for the family to do for the summer: swimming in the lake, mini golf, and playground. All were well maintained. These were closed at the time of our visit in October. Walking trails, bike trails, and activities were plenty, we were just limited due to rain.

Short drive to Dalton, GA., and Ellijay, GA. for other sightseeing. Beautiful overlook before you get to the entrance of the park on main road.

When they say beware of bears, they mean it. We did not personally see them, but our camping friends did see a momma and 3 cubs.

Bathrooms were the best we’ve seen. The hosts kept them very clean. Speaking of the hosts; they were all so very nice and inviting.

Only complaints (not big ones for us) are cell service was spotty at best. You might can walk around and receive a text but might not can respond to it. Or you might get lucky enough to walk to a spot and make a call. Another complaint was no sewage at any site. Not a deal breaker for us. We will definitely be back.

    Great new campgroud

We just picked up our travel trailer on 8/21 and had to give it a trial run. It was hard to find a place that allowed 1 night that still had reservations but based on positive feedback on the Georgia RV FB group I found this place. They have been open 5 weeks and half of it was under construction but it had no impact on the place. It is right along the Coosawattee River on Hwy 411. Sites are big and spread out OK. There are showers on site and a nice playground, and coming soon a real office and 20 more sites. Several full hook up, pull through, river front, etc. The owners are incredibly nice, helped me back in and gave great pointers. They also stopped by to check on everything just before dark.

    It was an Ok park

The park was just okay. The site we were on was full hook up and level but a lot of the sites we very slanted. Also we had to unhook our electric cord to be able to use the sewer. Also our fire pit was not useable as well since it was located so close to our camper. The dumpers doesn’t trash we’re in the very back corner of the campground so it was a little inconvenient. I will say the park staff was friendly and everything seemed very clean. Also the fall decorations we a nice touch.
Last the campground offered WiFi but it was so slow that it was not worth using.

Another plus is it’s close to lots of great hiking trails and the town of Helen is close and adorable. Worth a visit.

    Excellent campground for the family

Unicoi is a really nice campground. They offer Zipline adventures, hiking, swimming, playgrounds, paddle boats and more. The are just minutes away from Helen Ga which offers tubing adventures down the Chattahoochee, great restaurants and shopping. Our family loves to visit. There are a limited number of full hook up sites, and they are first come first serve. When you make your reservation you are guaranteed a specific site type, but not a specific site number. Most of the sites will accommodate a 38' -40' rig. Backing them into the spot is tight because the road is narrow. Sites are very spacious and level.

    Very Nice

Beautiful campground. Everything is clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are kept nice and clean. Campsites are gravel with full hook ups and a campfire ring. Wifi most anywhere in the park is great. My only complaint would be there are a lot of rules. In the lake they have you can only use their paddle boats and not your own. And there is a small fee to do it. Some other amenities like mini golf you also have to pay extra for.

Found this campsite through the Dyrt app.  It was a very well kept, clean campground.  It was quiet, and all the people we encountered were very friendly and welcoming.  Full hook ups, and site was nice and wide, easy to back into.  The campground host, Jerry, was the bomb!  Always on top of everything, and willing to do anything to help you out.  Would definitely stay here again.   The old wagons at bottom of hill were really cool!  I will post picture later.
