Nestled on your own 6 acres of pristine wetland, surrounded by acres of untouched woods, sits our renovated and designed glamping camper, complete with all the creature comforts to ensure your remote wilderness excursion is as luxurious and efficient as can be. The site sits deep in the woods, surrounded by giant pine trees and a large 12'x24' deck holds a bbq grille, outdoor dining for four, an outdoor bed to lay back and listen to the sounds of nature, and outdoor shower and outhouse.
Inside the rv is a small kitchen, with gas stove, refrigerator, Dinnerware and flatware. Coffee, tea, salt and pepper, olive oil.
The bedroom has an extremely cosy and comfy queen sized, and plenty of closet and drawer space.
We have closed off the previous bathroom and use this for supplies closet.
The living room has a window bench where the drivers and passenger seats used to be, a comfortable sofa which can easily seat 3 (or be used as a twin to sleep) and a small dining table for 4. The mini woodburning stove burns wood for 3 hours at a time and warms the space in sun zero temperatures. An indoor propane heater is supplied for an extra boost if needed. The house battery is powered by solar panels and powers the house lights, outlets, and water pump needed for the kitchen sink. A Jackery pack is provided for extra power and powers the pump for the outdoor shower, USB’s and extra plug ins for your devices. In addition to the solar string lights outside, there are 4 battery powered lanterns which provide a great source of light throughout the stay. When used conservatively, these last 3 days, although we provide extra batteries in addition just in case.
Outside on the covered 12’ x 24’ deck, the dining for 4, outdoor bed, outdoor shower with propane water heater and propane bbq grille look out into the woods. Outdoor sink with hot and cold water. Below the deck is a path to the solo stove portable wood burning stove which can remain in the pit or be moved around the deck to suit your flow.
Positioned around the back of the rv and out of the way is the outhouse “Loo with a view”.
Past the fire pit, we have created a mini trail which leads to the “contemplation area” where you can sit and take in the wetlands and all its beauty.

The water for the shower is from harvested rain water and not recommended for drinking. Each propane tank gives 40 hours is hot water so we encourage a hot shower in nature :) We do have a Burky system onsite that is safe to drink from.

The creek that runs by the campground is gorgeous, and my kids had fun finding Crayfish.
The nearby towns are adorable and offer shopping, hiking, farms, and more.

Grounds has a pool, concession stand,game room, playgrounds, sports feild and more. Sites are well groomed. We had one and a babbling brook was 30 feet behind us. Great spot for morning coffee. Clean restrooms,showers and laundry. Dump stations if need and a service to come to your rig to collect waste if you don't want to move it. Local shops just minutes from campgrounds. Walmart and other bigger shops just a short drive away! Scenic Willride on 44-55 to Mohonk House and trails. We be going back.
GuideThis was my first stay at any TT campground and I wasn't sure what to expect with this campground as the reviews are so mixed. While I don't have other TT campgrounds to compare this to, I do have a lot of experience in state parks and private campgrounds. If you are looking for an RV resort-type place, this isn't it. If you are looking for a CAMPground, this is a wonderful place! The grounds are well-kept and the bathrooms are clean. Th campground itself is pretty quiet, although there is some noise by the playground. Once school is out, I'm sure it will be busier.
The only problem I had was that my Starlink didn't work at the first site (372 - full hookup) but they let me choose another site (435 - no sewer) and I was happy as a clam. Oh yea, the sewer connection in 372 ran uphill for me, but my pipe sits very low.

It's September and there were only a few people here so it was really peaceful. However the train tracks are super close and it shook the whole camper when a train went by. Nice level spot we had with full hook ups. Standard picnic tables and fire rings. Park is surrounded by water so be warned lots of bugs to be expected.

We tried this campground a few times for short stays and ended up going seasonal last year and will do the same this year. It is a little off the beaten path but is great for families (plenty of activities for kids) and pets (our dog LOVES it there). They have a pool, fishing pond, hiking trails, mini golf, playground, large grassy areas for kids to play, and horseshoe pits. There is a store (stocked with grocery staples/snacks but also TONS of RV specific supplies/parts), laundry and showers (a new and improved bath house is currently being built). There are planned activities almost every weekend during the 'season' but they are open all year with some winter sites available. They have all sites available from tent right up to 50 amp full hook-ups. I can't wait for the new season to begin in April!

This place is right on the river and the freeway! So it’s kind of loud the people are super friendly and had fresh vegetables and home baked goods available. There’s always snacks. All the sites are full hook up I’m pretty sure . They used to have tent sites but no longer. The river is very pretty and I didn’t spend enough time to explore. It’s close to convenient stores.

I have been camping at Jerry’s for over 10 years now. The owner is friendly and stops to chat often with us each time we go. The campground is VERY rustic with little to no amenities. There are tent sites, seasonal sites for RVs, group tent & RV sites and group/pavilion sites. There are little to no sites with electric/water hook ups however, there is a centrally located water spout to use. There are bathrooms/wash houses- they are cleaned once or twice a day but honestly, they get filthy. Jerry’s is a good place for a great time with friends; large groups usually visit Jerry’s year after year. No one bothers you and everyone respects the rules, most of the time. ☺️ We have taken our children there often but I wouldn’t recommend or call it family friendly. The location is beautiful and about 2 hours from NYC.

Not a very big place but good family atmosphere. Sites are a bit small but well maintained. There’s a fishing pond with a small beach and paddle boats. Keen Lake Campground, as it’s name implies, is an amazing campground situated along the shores of a lake. They have several sites with a water view. The sites are average in size. The site we had was a little tight to get into, but we had enough room to enjoy our site. The campground itself is a little hilly, but the sites were pretty level. We had full hookups.
The campground has a nice pool, a well stocked store with ice cream, toys, camping supplies, and basic groceries. Everyone in the store was extremely nice and helpful. You can also rent paddle boats and disc boats to paddle around the lake for a very reasonable cost.

On top of hill right outside of town. Stayed during the week and was able to get a more secluded, wooded site. (Most of them are pretty open) It was quiet at night. You can hear some traffic from down below at busier times. Nice walking trail around the property through woods and field. Convenient WSE hookup right at site. Staff was friendly. It was hard to pre book a site though. You can’t do it online, you have to email, and it can take a while to hear back from anyone confirming a reservation. $50/night for full hookup.

Campground is very nice with a younger guy who runs it. There was a temporary issue with the well pump but he called us ahead of time to let us know and made sure we had an enjoyable stay while we were there with tips for where to find good hiking and a bit of firewood. Some of the campsites are a bit strange in their layout due to the stream that runs around the grounds and the way the land is but it worked really well for what we were going for. A good chunk of the RV spots are seasonal where the RV is kept there year round. You can see some of the work the new ownership is doing and I'm sure it'll be looking even better with time. Would recommend with the only caveat that if you have a large tent (3+ people) call ahead to make sure you will have the space on the site you are looking at for the text to comfortably fit.

I've been coming here for years now and the people in the office are always pleasant and fellow campers are nice and respectful as well. Great place situated in a great area with lots to do all within an hour's drive. Even camping during a pandemic was peaceful & fun!

A really beautiful area to visit. A very cool brewery is just 4 miles away.
ScoutLake Mocatek Campground is well kept, on beautiful lake Mocatek and an absolute gem.
They offer seasonal, winter storage and by the day rates, welcoming everything from tents to large Motorhomes.
Wake up to morning coffee and enjoy seeing the deer in the Campground as well as other wildlife.
All hookups are available, as are showers, bathrooms and laundry facility. Included is wifi. Cabins and travel trailer rentals are also available here. Don't forget to check out the on site country store and send the kids to pay video games or better yet, rent a rowboat for some fishing on the lake. Fishing from shore and RC boats are also permitted.
Weekends and holidays bring gatherings to play bingo with awesome prizes and other gatherings to meet your neighbors.
The pool is cool, clean and in the perfect area, mom and day can relax in the sun while the kids enjoy the pool.
Overall Lake Mocatek Campground is an excellent place to spend a weekend or even a summer, I highly recommend it...

This park is technically a “state park” because the land for it was donated to the state for public use. However, once the state became the official stewards, there werent funds in the state budget to maintain it as a park. A lical group, the Friends of Salt Springs, stepped up and offered to maintain the park with funds raised by their group. The result is a small but unique property open to the public for day use (picnicking and hiking and fishing) along with 2 small rustic campgrounds. One campground has a large open mowed grassy meadow with level sites for car camping or small campers, no hookups are available but each site has a fire ring and picnic table. On the other side of the parks trout stream are seven secluded primitive hike-in tent sites along with three basic camper cabins. The Friends of Salt Springs makes a good effort to maintain these two rustic campgrounds, however it seems there isnt a ranger on site at night so a camper said the meadow campground can get a little noisy some nights. The hike in sites are relatively quiet and secluded though, and are positioned nicely along the stream, one site actually adjacent to a good swimming hole.
The camper cabins are basic with bunks, bring all your own gear. They are fairly new and have electricity but no water or heat.
On the grounds in the day use area are picnic spits, a pavilion, and an activity barn. When I was there, the barn was featuring a local quilt show.
The special aspect of this park are the hiking trails through old growth hemlock forest, said to be the largest hemlocks in Pennsylvania. The trout stream also cascades through some some waterfalls, and there are gorges with unique geology.
There is a village nearby with limited supplies, you may want to stock up on groceries before heading out to this somewhat remote park. There is, however, a local brewery, plus an odd coffee shop featuring both donuts and ammo, an unusual combination…..

Went here to visit family who have a seasonal site. This campground us small, a single loop, and populated primarily with seasonal campers. Water and electric hookups are abundant. There's not much as far as frills, but it's a nice place to just kick back. Saw a bunch of people pulling fish out of the lake and had a great time with the kayaks. The highlight may be the wildlife, including a beaver family.

Very friendly staff. The grounds are great. Certain loops/areas definitely better than others. But this space has loads of potential. We were there at the end of the season, which we loved bc we practically had this huge campground to ourselves. Our spot backed up to the river, which was great, but we had to try 2 different spots bc some of them are VERY un level.
It’s formerly a KOA and we were told the new owners were about to start some major renovations during the off-season, we we would love to come back and see the improvements.
Playground definitely needs to be replaced. It was more like a few metal bars for hanging. But they had a jump blob thing my kids loved.

Under new ownership (very nice young couple) as of August 2021 and they plan to make many upgrades to the campground. The roads are tight for larger trailers/RV's and some sites are very hard to get into. 20 & 30 amp service available with water at nearly every site. No sewers. You can dump nearby at Mongaup State Park if needed. The tent camping spots are very nice and very secluded. Very limited cell service on site. WiFi only near the campsite office.

Campground is a maze of campsites through densely wooded forests so it’s pretty private and shady even though it’s full no matter what season we visited. No hookups but that means people have generators, though the campsites are big and you won’t necessarily hear your neighbor running theirs. It’s pretty bustling and everyone spends their time at or along the lake. Nice place though the kids were missing a playground.

Route 15/209 was beautiful! We enjoyed driving through the quaint town, outdoor restaurants, and mountain views!
Upon arriving to the campsite, we were welcomed by a young teenager who held the door for us, a very nice way to start the weekend.
Our site was just across from the welcome center, at the beginning of the camp, in the middle of the gravel parking lot, 100’ from the highway... a sure disappointment. When asked if there were other spots closest to the lake, I was told, “Its a river, and there is a back-in spot.”
A quick look around told me that sites were packed tightly and for our maiden voyage, did not want to get stuck in the mud. We decided to keep our spot in the lot.
We were glad to see there were water and electric hookups and a dump site. There was even propane, should we need it. There was wifi, but it wasn’t working.
After unpacking, we took the dogs and started out to explore the grounds. There really was no place to walk, other than on the roads, all other areas were packed with tents, even home-made tarp tents. Most dogs, even though tied up, barked as we passed... which was a bit stressful for us and the dogs... One path took us along the highway, our views were dumpsters and highway traffic.
We found the river, and wow, it was beautiful!
As we walked toward the river, we noticed all the sites with river views were residents. Aside from maybe 5 other trailers/RVs, the remaining occupants were in tents.
If you’re looking for a place to sleep, eat, and party with your friends with your focus of water play, this could be the site for you. We were hoping for grassy fields, river views, and water fun. The amount of gravel, mud, and weeds did not provide the atmosphere we were looking for. The small area for river wading or fishing was crowded with others and their barking/lunging dogs, not peaceful. We left after one night and will not return.

This park is quiet and peaceful in fall, when we visited, but looks to be heavily used in summer due to many amenities including a very large number of camper cabins and a large beach on a large lake with a picturesque setting and large boathouse. There is also a good sized though rather open campground for tents and Trailers, some have hookups but most of the sites are not very private unless you reserve a spot on the periphery along the tree line. There are lots of nice hiking trails, though beware hiking during hunting season as hunting is allowed within the park borders.
I am sorry to have to give a rating of three, however, because a major problem at this park is the recent development ofva toxic algae problem in the lake, Because of algae blooms during warm weather, swimming and fishing in Gilbert Lake are now prohibited, which is very unfortunate as the lake and watwr activities are a focal point of the park. If you are ok with just hiking and being iut in the woods you might still be interested in coming, The campground is not too private or scenic. The camper cabins are pretty basic but in a pretty setting.
one plus factor is the handicapped accessibility, there are many paved ir accessible trails, and the park office has available a new all-terrain wheelchair that patrons can use to get out into the woods and explore

Although the site is nice, the operator is not nice to tent campers! Tents pay 32 US-Dollars per weekday while RVs just pay 2 bucks more 🙁. For showers, you have to insert quarters to get a cold shower 🥶🥶🥶🥶 while RVs take a lot of electricity to heat up water for a hot 🔥 shower 🚿. We’ve seen over 15 campgrounds in the last 15 days, but no one was so avaricious!
