San Juan McGee Park RV Camping

San Juan McGee Park RV Camping operates as a county-managed facility between Bloomfield and Farmington, with over 570 RV sites featuring electric and water hookups. The campground sits along the San Juan River with direct highway access from Route 64, making check-in simple for travelers passing through the area. Sites measure 21 by 41 feet on gravel surfaces without individual picnic tables or fire pits.

Many sites provide river access and views, with some positioned between a pond and the flowing water. John H. found the "location is clean and well laid out" despite limited shade across the property. The campground shares grounds with fairground facilities, so campers should check for scheduled events that might increase activity levels. Security patrols the area regularly.

Restrooms and shower facilities require a short walk from most sites, housed within the fairground buildings. A dump station serves the property, and pets are welcome throughout the campground. The setup functions primarily as a large parking area with hookups rather than a traditional campground layout.

For RV travelers seeking a different atmosphere, Angel Peak RV Park offers an alternative experience further east.

Many campers found this large RV park offers good value with clean, well-organized sites and basic amenities, though it resembles a parking lot more than traditional camping. Facilities are available but require a short walk from sites.

Not bad.

Nice enough if you’re passing through. Some spots with river views and access. It would be a good idea to make sure nothing is going on at the fairgrounds unless you like lots of company. Otherwise it’s pretty quiet and secure.

Awesome stopover location

We didn’t expect much but, were very pleasantly surprised. After 3 hours of fighting a crosswind, we needed a break. Checking in was super simple and the location is clean and well laid out. They also provide showers and toilet facilities a short walk away. There isn’t much shade available. Easy access from hwy 64 right between Bloomfield and Farmington. We will definitely be using this a layover in the future.

Great for RV stopovers but that's it

We were trying to find something before the sun went down and stopped here, but ended up moving on as they didn't have tent sites that we were interested in and we wanted a bit more seclusion. I was able to grab some info though. This campground is sort of between building of the fairgrounds.

About the park: This is a large RV park along the San Juan River between Farmington and Bloomfield. There are over 100 dry camping sites. 574 RV spaces with electric and water hookups. The sites don't have tables or fires pits. Each of these sites is 21’ by 41’. There is a dump station on site.  There are a lot of sites on the river.

Security patrols the area frequently.

Lots of activities happening at the fair and close to town.

Showers and restrooms are by fair buildings so they are a little walk away from the sites, hence the "prefect for RV's".
