Not in Reno... that's a plus.

Not a big fan of Reno....so this RV campground is a plus. The complex has a little Casio, gas station, couple of dinners, Jack in the box, and just about everything you would need. Friendly staff. It does have a lot of long term tenants. But they keep their sites clean. Restroom/shower combos, laundry that were clean. Most sites have winter rye planted and you don't want to leave things on the grass due to a sprinkler system. We are here for two days heading to Eureka, CA. Coming from Salt Lake City and it's refreshing to be out of the desert. Would recommend this campground. We were in back in site 7. Little noisy from I 80. We were here the 1st of June....very pleasant weather.

Clean, quiet

Typical RV park with spaces closer together, so we picked a back-in space along the outside edge and it was perfect for our dogs. A hiking trail right outside of camp. The rest is surrounded by highway and the casino parking lot. Not super busy for a weekend in November.

Likley the Best Campground in the Reno Area

We have stayed at two other parks in Reno, both were just okay, from the number of sites to the actual crowding together of the sites.

Gold Ranch has very wide interior roads that make navigating easy with a toad. Sites are arranged nicely with a decent distance in-between. We had site 30 which was a pull in, motorhomes only. We had a view of the mountains to the west. The only drawback would be in the summer facing west, the front windshield would have a lot of heat gain along with some interstate noise. Management was very responsive and considerate. We did have a camper that was allowing their dog to run loose and management responded promptly. We asked if we could extend our stay if needed. We did need to stay one extra day. I was prepared to move the Bird, but they had blocked our site for a few more days. No need to move...that was very considerate. This may not have happened in their busy season, but it was a welcomed! Only 15 minutes into downtown Reno. This will be our go-to when we are back in the area.

Super great!

The front desk lady was super super nice. The park is beautiful! The guests are all super friendly. Family and pet friendly. The pool isn’t open yet but the spa is. We can not wait to come back!

Well maintained and reasonably priced RV park

General: 105-site FHU RV park with a mix of pull-through and back-in sites; site is assigned upon check-in.

Site Quality: All camper pads are paved and although the park is on a slope, all sites appear level. Each site had a picnic table but no fire ring. As would be expected, there is little privacy/separation between sites.

Bath/Shower House: There were five individual sink/toilet/shower units that were clean. The units themselves were a little tight (except the ADA one) and even though there were hooks, there was a round stool instead of a bench. The shower had good water pressure and hot water.

Activities/Amenities: Well, this is a casino! Hubby gambles but I don’t, and he did not indulge this trip! Upon check-in, we were given several coupons including one for $15 off food at the café but you need to walk through the casino to get to the café (no surprise). We had breakfast there and it was good (as was the service). There is access to a hiking/mountain biking path, but I did not explore it since it had rained heavily the day we arrived, and it was muddy. There is a laundry facility that takes pre-loaded cards. The detergent dispenser was out of order when we were there. There is a cozy “living room” with a fireplace, couches, books, and games but it is only open during office hours (9-5).

This RV Park is right off Route 80 for easy access but it is located behind the casino so the noise is not as loud as you might expect. This was a good stop for us as we had to refill our fresh water and empty our grey water. The staff was very friendly. We appreciated reduced winter rates after October 2 ($40 for a back-in site).

Calm & Clean

Beautiful view of the mountains, good security, private bathrooms and showers, pool and hot tub, very clean. Access to trails. However we have a cab over camper. They do not allow you to drop your camper and leave for extended time periods. We have found that many RV PARKS have the same policy. They accommodate any size of rig. It is the best relaxing RV PARK in the area, especially for a small rig.

Very nice standard RV campground.

Full hookups, pull through. Nestled against the Eastern Sierras, on the Cal/Nev. border. Restaurant in the casino temp. Closed due to lack of employees. 12 miles to Reno, other conveniences nearby - Gas, Jack in the box, Port of Subs. Smoke from Cal. Wildfires is making outside activities difficult.

Great place

This is a great little place! Very well kept, clean and paved sites, and plenty of space for our 31 foot trailer. It was about 10 minute drive to Reno, which was perfect for our family. We will definitely be visiting again!

A Little Road Noise.

This RV campground is right off I-80 and you can hear the busy noise from the highway. Putting that aside it is a beautiful little RV resort with lots of mature trees nestled on the very flanks of the mighty Sierra.

Ultra Clean

This park is clean, has mostly pull throughs that are level and spacious. The park sits behind a casino that has restaurants, a Starbucks, a mini mart and a gas station. Easy on and off I-80 access works out great for traveling. We have reservations for our return trip.
