Osen's RV Park by Starry Night Lodging

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sitting just outside Livingston in south-central Montana, Osen's RV Park by Starry Night Lodging operates as a drive-in facility running from mid-April through early October. The entrance road is the first thing to reckon with: multiple reviewers flag it as bumpy with trees pressing in on both sides, so larger rigs should take it slow. Once inside, the gravel sites are level and divided roughly half-and-half between pull-throughs and back-ins, with grassy strips between sites giving some separation.

Full hookups are available, including electric, water, and sewer, and a dump station sits at the exit. No fire rings are on site, and campfires are not permitted. Sites are close together, which a few visitors note can feel crowded during peak season. The bathrooms are private, coed individual units with showers, and Ben H. notes they are "reasonably clean and seem to be cleaned frequently." A fenced dog area and a games area with cornhole and ladder golf round out the common spaces.

Cell coverage holds up reasonably well here. Reviewers report solid Verizon performance and T-Mobile 5G at two bars, and the park also provides WiFi. Rates run around $60 per night for electric and water, with full hookups priced roughly $15 higher. No tent camping is allowed. Travelers using Livingston as a base for camping near Livingston will find this park a functional overnight stop with consistent amenities and attentive staff.

Many campers appreciated the level gravel sites, well-maintained grounds, and helpful staff at this RV-only park near Yellowstone. Clean private bathrooms and a large dog area were commonly noted positives, though some found sites closely spaced and pricing high.

Nice and friendly park.

We stayed in Osens RV park in Livingston, Montana in September 2021. This is a very nice quiet Park with pull-thru sites with FHU. The sites are level and nicely spaced with large grassy areas between sites. The staff here is very nice and helpful with anything you may need. Plenty of space to walk your pups and a large play area with cornhole and ladder golf. This is a great little park that we will visit again when we pass through Montana in the future. Good spot near yellowstone

This is an independent campground about an hour from the north entrance of Yellowstone. The spots are reasonably level and about half and half pull-through vs back in. They use a larger size gravel on the roads so there is very little dust. The staff is very attentive and there seems to be good security at the campground. The hookups are well placed and everything worked well. Bathrooms and showers are reasonably clean and seem to be cleaned frequently. Nice fenced in dog area. All the spots have nice new plastic picnic tables. No fire rings. Grounds are very well cared for, grass is in great shape. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

A few things to be aware of:

  • The road in is a bit bumpy and trees on both sides, so be careful coming in if you have a big rig
  • No wood camp fires
  • There is no tent camping allowed here

Frequently Asked Questions

How do reviews rate Osen's RV Park compared to other Livingston campgrounds?

Osen's RV Park is generally highly rated, with most visitors giving it 4-5 stars. Campers particularly appreciate the level sites, clean facilities, and attentive staff. The park is noted for being quiet and well-maintained with nicely spaced sites and green grassy areas. The private bathrooms and showers receive positive comments for their cleanliness. While most feedback is favorable regarding the overall experience, some visitors mention that the sites are somewhat close together and that pricing may be on the higher side due to the proximity to Yellowstone National Park.

What is the location of Osen's RV Park in relation to Yellowstone National Park?

Osen's RV Park is located approximately one hour's drive from the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. This convenient location in Livingston, Montana makes it a popular base camp for visitors exploring Yellowstone while staying outside the park boundaries. The proximity to Yellowstone contributes to the campground's popularity but may also affect its pricing compared to RV parks further away from the national park.

Are there tent camping options available at Osen's RV Park?

While Osen's RV Park primarily caters to RVs with its gravel sites and hookup options, there are electric and water sites available that might accommodate tent campers. The campground does have grassy areas between sites, but it's designed as an RV park rather than a traditional tent camping destination. For specific information about tent camping availability and restrictions, it's best to contact the campground directly before planning your stay.

What amenities are available at Osen's RV Park in Livingston, MT?

Osen's RV Park offers full hookup sites with water, electric, and sewer connections. The campground features level gravel sites with nice grassy areas between them, providing good separation between camping spots. Amenities include private bathrooms with showers, good WiFi connectivity, and a large dog play area. The park maintains well-kept grounds with green grass and uses larger gravel on the roads to minimize dust. Both pull-through and back-in sites are available, and there's a convenient dump station at the exit for those without full hookups.
