Simple but the views are amazing

Not really any established sites from what we found, but it was a great place to stop for the night and very private.

We stopped on a Thursday and had the area all to ourselves. There are no facilities whatsoever, make sure to pack everything out and stock up on gas and supplies before heading out there!

The view is gorgeous, the river is lovely and the boat "ramp" makes for great water access.

There are train tracks nearby, which wasn't necessarily negative for us since we live next to train tracks at home .

Nice place to park, can fish if you like

I found it easy enough to find a level spot where I could leave my little camper connected to the TV. Plenty of space. It is close to the train track and you can see the trucks in the freeway.

Editing to add: the road is a bit rough, not well maintained but I’m sure you could drive a big rig in here just take it slow.

I’m here in a Tuesday evening towards the end of August and it’s essentially bug free. The only noise I hear is vehicles on the freeway. I think there are two other vehicles staying overnight.

The actual location of the boat landing is (45.7088104, -110.3492486)

Fantastic spot right near Livingston

Very easy to get to with several camping and RV areas although little shade. Great cell service out here but this is completely self-contained BLM land and since it's a fishing access spot stays are limited to 7 days. There are a couple of areas right next to the river if you go down some steep hills for the more intrepid campers. There's also a great ramp for launching boats or kayaks or fishing from. Yellowstone on one side and beautiful mountains on the other and it's free!

Great spot!

My husband and I stopped here to sleep on our long drive! When we got to the gravel parking lot, we took a left to go on the path and found a spot in the field. Lovely view and can hear the river from the spot. The train comes every couple of hours but just fell back asleep after each time. Definitely would come back!🌲

Fantastic location for dispersed camping

Just a couple of miles from town, and only about half a mile on gravel road which can be handled by any sedan, one side is the Yellowstone River and the other side are the mountains. I feel very safe because there is another group camping here in an RV, because someone had mentioned some guys in trucks scaring them off. I'm protected so I'm not worried. You have to cross the railroad tracks and there is a train that comes by occasionally about 100 yards away. So far it's blown it's whistle once. I almost hate to share this spot because I plan on coming back! Great T-Mobile cell phone service and absolutely stunning location.

Good spot above

There’s a spot down by the water that someone took with a tent who we let by us. We took a spot just above before you drive down to the water. I wasn’t sure if I could turn around my 20’ travel trailer down by the water. Very buggy.
