Much improved campground

We have stayed at this campground several times in the past. Previously it was a bit rundown. Under the new management there is quite an improvement. The bathrooms are new and spacious and very clean. They have upgraded the roads in the campground so that they are no longer potholed and muddy with…

Great Scenery, nice sites

Sites were readily available the night we stayed, about 12 in the main campground and several more sites with fire rings outside by the trail entrance. Overall pretty clean, and the lake has a small trail to walk around. The road to get to the trailhead and campground was slow going and really just…

Road Closed Due to Logging

Was unable to get to this site as the road in was closed due to logging. Had a Tángeres parked at the turn off from the main road.

Good for a night only.

It was very hot and no breeze. Not even close to the river at all. Camping sites were not well marked & yet the ranger stated we were 1 foot on the grass.. ( WHAT GRASS?) and made us move 1 foot. The picnic table was so old and worn out, it was bowed & not usable at all. I would only…

Beautiful view

This campground has a beautiful view, however it is next to the active railroad tracks. Hence it was difficult to sleep with the blowing horns. The RV sites are close and the hook ups are at the back of the pull through site. Nice pool and play area. Camps WiFi was poor, T-Mobile and Verizon…

Quiet Campground In The Trees

Quiet little campground in the trees. Gravel/dirt washboard road leads to this tranquil wooded getaway. No 4x4 needed, higher ground clearance vehicle will help. Vault toilets and fire rings are throughout the campground. Day use shelter is across from group / family larger site with room for about…

Will Definitely Be Back!

It's a KOA, so if you're looking for large spaces to spread out & enjoy it's not gonna be your cup of tea. However, it's a very nice KOA with extremely helpful and friendly staff, great fried chicken, and easy access to the Butte visitors center & nature trail. We were extremely impressed…

Nice find

I used the online registration late in the day, so we were happy to get the last spot. Very easy to find in the dark at 10:30 pm because driveway is well lit with little lights, however the driveway is gravel hill going down and very bumpy. Spots for the RV are full hook up & very close but…

Peaceful, Wooded, Nice Creek

We chose Swan Creek from the few USFS campgrounds between Big Sky and Bozeman based on how far it was off of Rt. 191. The others are located right along the road, yet next to the Gallatin River. We heard no road noise and had the soothing sound of Swan Creek in the evenings. But, don’t expect any…

Not a destination but good stop

Caves were wonderful! Campground is near the Jefferson River but it is across the highway and has private property on the other side. There were fishing access about a mile down the road. It would be a nice stop for a day/night stay but not any more. Showers were nice and clean.

Nice campground with friendly staff

Amazing staff, very friendly!

The sites were fine, but the water hookups were at the front of the sites, so bring extra hose if your city water connection is at the rear of your camper like ours.

The water park is part of a resort next door, so you have to pay extra for that.  We were along the…
