Quite in the spring

We stayed here on a 1 night stop over on our way to moab. We crossed the dam and found an entire campground empty. Very basic but quiet. Woke up to snow on the ground.

Deluxe RV sites are awesome

Awesome deluxe site with access to the hotsprings. Water was clean, power consistent, and staff was lovely.

However, note that the cheapo sites can be pretty shabby, facing houses or roads.

Convenient from I90

We have stayed here a few times on a trip to or from the west coast. It is not far away from freeway I90.

It has never been crowded when we were there in spring or fall. Big campground, clean and tidy, in an open are with few trees. Shower building was OK. Park Visitor Center is nearby.

Gorgeous and private

All the sites are fairly private, nestled in the mountains among the trees and alongside a stream. We visited mid May 2021, it snowed overnight so it was a bit freezing, but otherwise such a beautiful stay.

Couldn't make it to the camp

I have a Subaru and thought I'd try my hand at driving out to this camp spot. 17 miles from the camp you enter a dirt road. Most of the road isn't bad, but you definitely couldn't pass some spots without some clearance and AWD. 2.7 miles from the camp I spot another subie parked in a nice little…

Relaxing and quiet

We got in later at night and had a back on site. We are new to RVing but, we were able to get in the spot! Not a lot of lighting but, we had headlamps. Staff were super welcoming and gave us a military discount. Bathrooms were clean and the grounds for the park were nicely kept. Outside of the park…

Not a KOA

Got there at 5:30pm and the office was already closed. We setup and then found out the water wasn't on because of the cold temperature. They did have a few frost free spigots around but we didn't want to move. The bathrooms and showers were old and not as clean as they could of been. Wifi was…

Nice spot

But expensive for the lack of services, the cheapest site is $20. Nice large sites, two fault toilets, no Verizon cell service. Right on the water, if you like boating there is a small boat ramp. It looks like there is a water pump but it was locked when I stayed, maybe COVID or winter. Trash…

Convenient, friendly and clean

Great stop over in a cute little town right down the street from a brewery and another fun restaurant “Sparky’s”. The owners were friendly upon our last minute late check in without a reservation at 8:30 PM. The sites were well maintained and they spaced each visitor since the campground wasn’t…

Nice little spot by the river

Great spot by the river. There are 2 larger sized spaces that fit a 20ft camper very easily and an additional 6 sites that look to be more for tents. There is also a small parking lot. No hook ups, no trash, but there is one vault toilet and Verizon has soild cell phone reception. The road could be…

No Complaints for Free

It’s a wonderful spot for a weekend away. We had the place to ourselves except for Saturday afternoon in March. There’s over 10 spots, with places easy for groups. However, there isn’t a level place in sight. Be prepared for steep inclines in some situations. While it was quiet people wise, I’m…

Perfect One Night Stop

Right off Highway 15. Great phone service. Stayed twice, only had one train come through: May 2020 and March 2021. There are quite a few of highway travelers that stop to use the vault toilet, but generally quiet in the spring. Plenty of spots for campfires.
