I've been going to klondike since I was in the scouts. Once I started to drive I tried to go out atleast once a year.

Very primitive camping. Toilets only, but the campsites are spaced comfortably apart. The grounds are well maintained.

Friendly and quiet, concrete pads, easy hook-ups, good internet, and paved streets. IMO’s Pizza delivers. Don’t plan to sleep late during the work week though because mowing, weed whacking and leaf blowers may start at 8:00am.

Large grassy camp sites, dog park and clean restrooms/shower house. Lake is very pretty and great staff.

Washington State Park is a hidden gem in Missouri! We camped in mid-March 2021 for 7 days and thoroughly enjoyed the area. They had just opened a new shower house which was clean and well kept. A few drive up sites and lots of hike in spots around a quarry turned lake. Beautiful and clean setting. We stayed in site 24. There were picnic tables and a fire pit at our site. Great for tent camping, not sure that trailers or anything larger than a car is allowed

Small campground ground ram by saint louis county parks. We were the only ones here. Heavy equestrian park, it’s not required (to have a horse) to stay here. We spent a couple nights here at an electric site near the playground.  We really enjoyed the hiking and views.  The facilities were fine, consistent with IL state parks. There is a vault toilet by the playground and a shower house on the other side of the campsites.

Great well maintained state park right outside of St Louis. Park has an awesome trail system around the lake, and it looks like you can rent canoes/kayaks in the summer (was not open in the winter).

This is a small town campground off the beaten path. Great little get away spot with nearby stores.

A friend discovered this gem a while back and we now frequent it. Super inexpensive for the space that you get. Free firewood. We have only stayed at the largest site as it has good fishing and a place for us to launch our paddleboards and kayaks. We easily fit a dozen people over the 4th of July.…
