Whetstone Conservation Area

Missouri's Department of Conservation manages Whetstone Conservation Area, which provides five campsites with fire pits and picnic tables near several fishing ponds and a larger lake. The area allows drive-in, walk-in, and boat-in access for campers seeking water-based recreation. Recent maintenance work has temporarily lowered the main lake level, though smaller ponds remain accessible. Each site includes standard amenities, and the conservation area permits pets and alcohol. Campers can explore nearby Graham Cave State Park Campground for additional recreation options. The well-maintained grounds work best for anglers and paddlers comfortable with basic facilities.

Very well maintained

Super well maintained conservation area, 5 camp sites with fire pits and picnic tables. Several ponds and a larger lake but it was currently being repaired so it’s very low.
