Nice little spot

Nice little campground in the forest. Only a couple other campers so it was really quiet. Short drive to the scenic byway with beautiful views. Outhouses were maybe the cleanest I’ve ever seen. There was a camp host but we didn’t get a chance to meet her. Only draw back having an RV is there is no…

Great recreation area

Great little sites within the trees and near the Devoe Lake, which has a small beach. Lots of trails, lakes and the Rifle River which was awesome to float down. Pit toilets were clean. They have wood for sale at the entrance of the park.

Wonderful seasonal location

We purchased a seasonal site with a boat slip and it was very affordable from May through October. The WiFi is nice and the scenery being close to Lake Huron is enjoyable, especially in the morning sunrise hour. The hookups work good and the owners are very nice. There's occasional parties and…

Close to Ausable

Positives: larger sites, clean vault toilets, nice boat ramp, quiet in the evenings.

Negatives: the lake is contaminated with PFAS. No dump station or potable water.

Spacious, Quiet, Relaxing

We were greeted at the gate by an extremely helpful and knowledgeable gentleman. He provided good directions, and helped us with our Rec Pass.

The site was easy to find, spacious, and had adequate distancing from other campers. It included a fire pit and picnic table too.

The lake was serene in…

Bay City State Park

Great campground to stop in for the night. We paid 25 for a camp spot plus 9 for a passport to put in our window. The beach is right across from the campground but the water is extremely polluted so we didn’t swim but the sand is really nice and clean so we did catch some sun rays. They have…

Busy but great location

It was a short stay but we had a great site that had a little path to a fairly private beach which made it so much fun! It was a very packed campground due to the great location, which made backing in and then hooking up a little tricky so bring your patience during that time. Very nice staff.…

The best!

This is my favorite camp ground! The facilities are nice, there is tons to do for kids, and the owners are awesome! The beach is not on property but a close drive away and they do have a pool. Anything you need you can get at the camp store. The train does run late and sometimes in the middle of…

Nice Park on Sturgeon Bay

Mostly flat sites. There are no pull-through sites. You are given a plot of land and you can configure you campsite however you like. There is a beach on Sturgeon Bay.

Enjoyable Stay

Got lucky enough to snag a week-long stay on a waterfront site(401) the last week of July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had very nice neighbors and had a great week of relaxing.

Website booking process was very easy. Sites are reasonably priced around$25-30/night.

The park is…

Awesome Sunsets and beautiful beach

This Park is on our list of favorite parks to visit each year. With it being on the eastern part of the Saginaw Bay you have a great beach for swimming and sunbathing. We were noticing that this park seems to be in an overused state and what we mean by this is the bathhouses not so clean and not…

Good family camp

This is a nice big campground within a short walk of lake huron and a beautiful light house. Camp sites are all very close together providing very little privacy. Bathrooms were clean with private individual shower stalls and hot water. Lots of big RVs and family campers here. Overall nice place.

Love Mack Lake

Great campground with great campground hosts. Large sites some with water views. Beach area. Clean pit toilets and water. Campground hosts had wood available when we were there.

Busy, Crowded Campground

Full transparency—we did not stay at this campground but only drove through it as research for future trips. What we saw on a sunny Saturday in July did not tempt us to return. This is a large state park on a beautiful inland lake. There are several camping areas within the campground, and they…
