Progressing nicely..

New owners (took over in April 2021). John and Jen are very kind folks. Several big storms blew through before and during my 3-night visit. The site I was given was level even though, the dirt was soft and water puddles, mud, fallen branches were everywhere. There are MANY tall, tall trees (which worried me with storms all around) but nothing fell on my RV and I was able to pull into and out of my site without issue. The pool appeared very clean and well kept. I did not use the bathrooms but they seemed tidy from the outside appearance of the building. Most visitors were seasonal from what I could tell. The campground is very quiet (at least during the week while I was there). The only downside about the area in general: I wanted to walk my dog along Houghton Lake and there really is no way to get close to the water. There were a few very tiny public access parks and only one REALLY small public beach. I ended up having to park at a school and walk along the busy road on a path. Not really much happening in this rural town if you don't already have a place on the lakeshore.
