Not Free! Beautiful and quiet.

Gorgeous sites with lots of privacy. Basic pit outhouses no other services.

Only complaint is that contrary to Dyrts listing, it's not actually free.

Nice Camping

This is a nice campground that butts up with the Lumberman’s Memorial park with a trail leading to the AuSable sand dune. Campsites are paved with fire pits and picnic tables. Choice of single vehicle or two and bathrooms located throughout. At night bring a lantern because it gets dark. Very nice spot that’s surrounded by forest.

Family Friendly

Quiet campground with lots to do. Hike to the nearby monument and attend one of their educational programs, visit the museum, take the steps down to the floating shanty, or visit the small store. Float trips available and fishing available nearby.

Sand dunes and amazing views!!

Awesome spot, a must see if you're in the area. Just a mile or two walk to the dunes overlook where you can descend a 100+ ft sand dune down to the water and go for a swim. Be sure to take the forest observatory trail on the way and learn a bit about the history of the area. Definitely a place to bring the kids
