Really nice campground on a lake

This campground has lake access, sites on the lake, a playground, bathrooms, and is tucked away from everything yet still close to stores and restaurants

Would not go again

This campground is not desirable, bathrooms were not clean, they double booked our site, loud and generally not a good night. No firewood available at campground either.

Campground in Hiawatha National Forest

This campground is on the edge of Hiawatha National Forest. There is some great hiking in the area. The downfalls of this campground is there isn't a lot of trees on the campground and it's right next to train tracks. It rained while we were there and we were glad we weren't in a tent because of all the puddles.

Hard to get around

It had rained a lot, but our site was difficult to get in and out of. There were trash cans on each site that the host picks up which was very nice for longer stays. I do wish someone had notified me of the train that went by around 5 am- it’s scared the bejesus out of my 2 year old with 10 long toots in the middle of the morning. The double full rainbow though was stunning. The fire pit was less than desirable. Small and no concrete base which made me weary of littles.

Great little campground

Great little campground on the lake. Staff was friendly and helpful while making our reservation and checking in. This was a last minute reservation (2 days) for arrival on Thursday and departure on Monday, and they were able to accommodate our family (2 sites). You are allowed to have a tent on your site with your RV for the kids if you choose or if you want to double up on the site with other family members you can also do so with a fee. They also accommodate large groups as well if sites are available and/or reserved. We seen a group of 10+ rv’s/tents set up there campers in a big circle. Bathrooms and playground needs updating but beach area was nice. Our site 27 was a large site with a 30 amp hookup and plenty of room. Not bad for $25 a night. We will be back

Nice view of the lake

Nice view of the lake. Clean showers and bathrooms. Train tracks on one side none have gone by in the 45min we’ve been here. More expensive than we wanted to pay but were tired of riding. Guy did say he gave us a deal since we were just staying one night. They charge per tent.
