Really nice campground on a lake

This campground has lake access, sites on the lake, a playground, bathrooms, and is tucked away from everything yet still close to stores and restaurants

Basic camping close to everything

If you want a simple base camp to go out and explore st ignace, mackinaw island, and other parts of the U.P then this is a good option for you. It doesn’t have much to offer other then a campsite, bathrooms, and showers but that’s all we needed since we came back at 10-11pm every night. The front office doesn’t seem the most organized as our reservations were not in the self check in and we had to call the emergency after hour line to confirm we could go to our spot. Our spot was also pretty hidden so with no map (because it wasn’t in self check in folder) it was hard to find our site

No frills camping option close to everything

This is a pretty basic campground with some extras. It has a pool and arcade and playground and is well kept and fairly wooded. The sites are decent size and it’s close to restaurants and shops.

Glamping at its finest

I grew up coming here and they had expanded a lot on it in the last few years. You will never be bored and it is a true resort feeling, you will forget your camping! They have themed weekends filled with activities for both adults and children and have a pool, pizza and ice cream, jumping pillow, clubhouse, fishing, playground, dog park, and so much more!

Breathtaking views

If you want a great view of the mackinaw bridge well you camp, this is the spot! Our campsite was in the center but still big enough that it didn’t feel cramped, the bathhouse is clean and has plenty of room. It is also a state park so priced good but make sure you reserve ahead of time because it books out fast. there is a little beach off the sites with a direct view of the bridge.

Busy campground with lots to do

We stayed here for only 1 night on a weekend and the place was packed. However, most of the campsites are spaced out enough that it isn’t a big deal. The pool is big, has a playground, a nice store on site with food, games, and camping equipment. The best part about it was the on site horseback rides!

Family destination

This is its last year being yogi bear campground, starting in 2023 it will be dunetown. They had a lot of activities scheduled and my children had a blast. Crafts, hay rides, outdoor movies, and character meet and greets we’re all going on during the weekend. They are also walking distance from craig’s cruisers which had a lot to do. You can easily stay busy with the activities around and inside the campground.

Amazing hidden gem

If you are looking for a no-frills secluded campground with spaced out campsites and beautiful views this is the place for you. It does not have a lot of extras but for a peaceful camping trip it has everything you need.
