About 3 miles north of US-2, Black River State Forest Campground sits within forested terrain outside Naubinway and operates on a first-come, first-served basis with self check-in. Sites range from small to large, most with good tree cover and spacing between neighbors. No trash receptacles are on-site, so campers must pack out all waste or drop it at Hog Island Point State Forest Campground down the road. The campground is open year-round, accommodates RVs up to 40 feet, and allows pets and campfires.
