Beautiful lake views, peaceful

Beautiful State Forest campground - vault toilets, hand pump water, $20/night (no reservations). We stayed on site #2 and used Starlink running off of a generator for everyday internet use - about 30-70 mbps download, some interruptions from trees but still reliable. AT&T was only getting 1 bar where we were. Well-maintained campground, would stay again.

I wouldn't suggest this park for larger rigs though - it is a long drive in and maneuvering within the park may be difficult.

Beautiful and Quiet

Arrived around 5 pm on a Tuesday and there were two sites left. We got site 6 which has a good view of the lake, with site 5 in between. We brought a camper trailer but everyone else was renting. Quietest campground I’ve been to. Great fire pit and picnic table at site. Wish we would’ve brought kayaks... lake was still as can be!

Remote

Great place to enjoy peace and quiet. Canoeing is a treat as there is lots of wild life to see. Catching wasn’t the greatest but the fishing in absolute silence was perfect.

Quaint and beautiful campground

This was a very quaint campground with only six spots. They seem to fill up because it is fairly close to Canyon Falls. We had just come straight from the falls and talked to some campers who were going the next day. The lake was very quiet a peaceful. A few sites are right against the lake. Unfortunately, there was a family who claimed the best spot for fishing, didn't pay, and then left well after midnight. The DNR doesn't seem to come around often, so I wouldn't be surprised if that happens a lot. The mosquitos we pretty fierce for being the end of July. The vault toilets were pretty standard. They were clean, but didn't exactly smell like roses.
