Decent place, long-time staple, but that may be its downfall

First day, my wife was helping our 5 year old climb onto the float like the big kids. 5 minutes later, management came over and said, "I heard you were pulling my float in." No sense of customer relations, just rude. My wife clearly cannot move a float. Even if she could, shouldn't it be chained to…

Nice place to be

We've only been here a few days, but first impressions mean a lot. It was raining when we got here but our site was relatively level and qe were ok until things dried up and we could finish leveling.

Sites are spacious! Connections are well placed and in good repair. Most sites are…

Don’t judge a book by its cover

We pulled up at around 7:30pm and found most campers sitting out of their RV’s enjoying the night. It was a little intimidating being our first time camping but we checked in and rolled down to our site right on the water. It was a bit breezy but the view was amazing and it wasn’t too windy for our…

Quant with awesome views

This is a great quant campground. It was built back in the 50’s but there are plenty of sites for those of us with large campers. The sites are right on the lake with gorgeous views. Some sites even have their own pier to sit out on and fish or swim from or simply watch nature. They rent kayaks and…

O.k. park, great area.

This campground is so-so but the Camden area of Maine is really pretty with a beautiful harbor, lots of paddling opportunities, and good hiking. This campground is fairly small with a few amenities like a swimming pool, clubhouse, volleyball and basketball courts. The pool is pretty small with some…

Beautiful View...

...but remember that sound travels over water. This is truly a stunning little spot and it was so peaceful, until it wasn’t. I snagged the best spot right on the waters edge on a platform. The night I happened to stay here I had a very noisy group of young adults show up around 9pm and were up…

Nice for tent camping

Clean, friendly with the best views of the beautiful Somes Sound. We rented a kayak at the campground and explored the sound. The camp site was close to the bus route which, will take you all over the Island. Overall a great place to stay. Look forward to returning and staying there again.

Really loved the scenery....canoe around the lake, visit 1Big Sustainable island. Lot of tent sites on the water, we had #24, with loud family of 6 children 10’ away. Friday night 3am train is loud. Sunrise on the water beautiful, which gives this site an extra star

Pretty Nice

This is actually a pretty nice campground as long as you have the right expectations.

First, most of the campsites are quite nice, with decent amounts of privacy.  Also, when I was there (although it was mid-week in September), the campground was very quiet, even though every site was full. …

Great Lakeside Site!

Loved our site right on the water and access to the docks for fishing & kayaking! Kids caught many sunfish & had loads of fun! Very quiet but quaint campground! Loved waking up to the sounds of the loons & even spotted a bald eagle! We would deff return! Loved that the office followed…

Love this campsite

Due to covid19, it’s impossible to reserve the campsite in Acadia National Park. This campsite is outside of NP but it’s really close and easy to access everywhere. Very quite and nice place to enjoy the beautiful summertime. Also, the ocean is just in the campsite, even though the water is really…

2 1/2 Stars

Spent a week end of July. Good weather with nice breezes on a hill. Amenities a little old and tired but staff friendly and pretty quiet at night. Campsite was clean, tight to moderately spaced...a few sites have more space and nice. Small kids fishing pond, couple of small older playgrounds,…
