Sitting on the North-South Trail within Land Between the Lakes, Twin Lakes Campground is boat-in and walk-in access only, making it a practical base for hikers and paddlers rather than RV travelers. The older of two adjacent campgrounds sharing the name, it has a boat ramp, one portable toilet, and sites with heavy shade and canopy cover. Sites 5 and 6 connect into a larger group-style area. Cell signal on AT&T runs inconsistently. Purchase a Basic Campground dispersed camping permit at a visitor center before arriving, as no on-site registration is available.
