I have been here for a while. As a visitor and as a resident. I truly enjoy it here. It has undergone some changes for the better.
This is a great KOA, lots of trees, not too tightly packed, and they have free breakfasts and ($) lunch/dinner you can order right from your site! Awesome pool with a slide and tiki bar. Would come again.
Had a great time with our 3 chi’s and my gorgeous wife at Jekyll Island Campground. Sad to leave but we will return!

Great campground, very shady and quiet.
We stayed here the Memorial Day week. Great campground with spacious sites and very quiet. Some of the sites have more privacy with the palmettos in between, but the site we were were at did not. Sites are level, park is clean, bathhouses are clean. Three bars of cell service at the…

Stopped here on our way up north. We have a small teardrop trailer and ready for boondocking.
It was a little confusing going in at the National Forest... there's no signs.. but we kept on driving and found the spots right on the lake. Beautiful! Our spot had a picnic table and an informal fire…
Great campground. Our site was 51 which was a smaller site but great on the river side. River camp was plenty shaded and some privacy between sites. You could walk down to the river area. Great area to fish and sit on the beach but no swimming here. Actual beach was about 1 mile from river camp.…

Definitely recommend this private island! It would be perfect for a romantic getaway or a bachelorette weekend. There's a King bed, toilet, along with a cute woodstove (works great for the chilly nights).
Great amenities and activities!
We camped in the beach sites during December and the mild weather made the sun bearable. These sites are in full sun, so bring some covers if you are going outside of winter. The bathroom was very clean, and it was a short walk to the shore. There was access to the hiking trails and fort via…
We went in March and it got pretty chilly at night, but the fire pit helped us stay warm. The portapotty was one of the nicer composting variety, but the campground were primitive otherwise. The sites are all on one loop, but there are trees and bushes separating each one for some privacy.
Stayed there 4 nights, drove to Amelia island about 30 min away.
The best hidden gem of a camping spot by the beach!
We just got back from 4 nights at this campground and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We were disapointed in our site, as it was on a corner, with a really odd shape, while there were TONS of empty spaces the entire time, but it wasn't that big of a deal. It was a bit of a drag not having a sewer…

Great campground with beautiful scenery by the lake! This campground reopened on March 31, 2021 at 50% capacity. We stayed there 5 nights- March 31 to April 5, 2021. It is divided into 3 sections: sites 1-19 are large full-hookup($30/$15 Senior Pass); 20-47 are water-only with bathrooms, flush…
This is the most clean and well kept park i have ever been to. They rake the gravel and clean every site after each camper leaves. It is right on the water and there are hiking pathes, bicycling, fishing, site seeing and so much more. It is a beautiful and serene setting
